  1. I have passed my motorbike theory test and have a 125. I was wondering if i passed my A1 - licence (on my bike) whether I would need to do the theory tests again to do a DAS course.. or if once you had a motorbike 'moving up' was easier. thanks
  2. I think you have to have at over 2 years to protect your NCD - as it was not an option for me this year (and I have 2 years no claims)
  3. I have been looking into retraining for Mod 1 - and wondered what a reasonable rate for 2 hours of training and a mod 1 session. (I know the test is £15.50 ) . But how much would the bike hire (a 650) and training reasonably cost? Thanks
  4. In that case... the 'spread-eagle' has a 'gold' eagle outside - and as that is not real - does that make it mythical?
  5. Does this count as a 'cat' pub - It is owned by the 'red cat'?

    Very Sad

I did not know this. I'm guessing with a bit of know how - doctoring them is relatively easy?! It scares me when In a car - they cut up the inside (ignoring you are turning left) .. dressed head to toe in black - I've nearly swiped two people that way - they had no PPE on - they were so dangerous. I suspect they were oblivious. I dress for the slide - and would not feel safe doing 30/40 with no helmet - which most of the local 'e-bikes' do -

    Very Sad

It is a really sad case. I was chatting with a friend today - about the upsurge of 'motorised bikes' - the ones that have motors and peddles - so don't pay tax, you don't have to have training to use - but go super fast.. there were about 8 around my local town center delivering food, they had no road awareness, and it was scary. The law should change - I think if you take a bike, e-scooter or e bike on the road you should have 'road awareness certificate' as a minimum.. if the vehicle has a motor you should have to pay to use it too.. and have insurance.
  8. You just need a bit more practice - you will get there I think if the others were on autos it gives you a harder stick to beat yourself with - gears are trickier - at the start - until you automate some of it Chin up
  9. I am improving with them - will keep going for full lock turns - i think - when i get a really tight turn the foot does come down - but today only 1x out of about 8 attempts - so there is real improvement - the weather is not helping me tho
  10. So as the title says - I failed mod 1 (foot down on the U turn).. I have a 125 - and have been practicing and can do it easily in 3 car parking places - but am a bit anxious when i get on the 650 My foot will go down again I've been debating what to do next - just put in for mod 1 and hope for the best - accept i might fail a few times and keep going - or . practice more on my 125 .. Any tips- or pushing in the right direction appreciated
  11. I you turn L - and go L again -(red arrow) how would they know you had cancelled your indicator? I think I would indicate L - to do the blue arrow and cancel as soon as I was obviously in the road - before the L turn To do the Red arrow I would indicate L - and continue until I had turned (Not saying this is right mind.. )
  12. You need them to pass your test (they are critical fails)
  13. My sight needs checking.. I read that as fanny way!

  15. I have a teen and a nearly teen in my house - who want to 'snack' all the time - its been a god send -not only does it turn it self off (prior to this the oven was left to warm and then left on forever) .. but chips and chicken dippers - work in a treat!

    c.b.t.

You must be able to, as you have to do the CBT for each licence - I suspect you have to full throttle in 2nd or 3rd! My 125 easily does 40 on the road (its not so keen on going fast uphill - but can if i bend lol)

OH, My bad - I thought they were both the same cost (I've only got as far as mod 1.. side eyes the U turn). It would still cost less to go and do the tests than doing a CBT again

TBH - you might as well go and sit the tests - they are about £15 each test - so you could sit the tests about 4x each and still pay less than a repeat CBT

If TFL say it is non-compliant you can check direct with Honda too. You email here - [email protected] and give them some details - and they send you a compliance cert - which you send to TFL and your bike is added. There is a list here which tells you if a bike is likely to conform https://www.bikerandbike.co.uk/list-pre-euro-3-motorcycles-with-ulez-exemptions/?fbclid=IwAR2jD8i0adHP6URFe_8aODUhqPHH2fNRyKr2QeAZ2vLhXxbt7Td1Ab0jiKE
