  1. I went from never having sat on a motorcycle to passing my mod1 and mod2 within 5 days. Obviously it all depends on the rider and the testers, but I didn't think it was too bad.
  2. Difference being they weren't bred/killed specifically for petrol (all them years ago lol)
  3. Ah yes, I forgot how "cheap" the test is. Fair play if you decide that, doesn't sound like a bad idea. When I done the test on a 125 I just put it in second and accelerated as fast as I could lol.
  4. Hopefully it won't happen again. I don't want this to sound rude, so please don't take it that way. Many people manage the speed fine on a 125 so 600 should be even easier (in theory?) Maybe it's worth practicing that maneuver a bit more, increasing your confidence. I can't see moving to your 125 a wise move. Good luck either way, you will get there in the end!
  5. The quickest way to get it all done in my opinion is an intense course (do theory before hand, but cbt, mod1 and mod2 in one week). I went from never having sat on a motorbike to having an a restricted license in 5 days can't really get quicker then that!
  6. Unlucky fella. I didn't know there was a test centre in uxbrige. I was going to do mine there (whilst at uni) but couldn't find a school nor test centres to use!
  7. One with 2 wheels and a petrol tank No engine? That's gunna be a very slow bike! Well done fella
  8. Aww haha. Ok so you drive into the space to begin with. When asked reverse the back completely straight backwards. This means you are still facing the space. The push the bike in a semi circle shape ( If the new space in on the left push the bike in a anti clockwise semi circle and vice versa). When finished you should be again directly infront of the parking space ( the new one, not the one you parked in initially ) how ever you will be facing forward. Push the bike directly backwards into the space. Job done. You can almost imagine it was a capital M joining the spaces ( but with a curve for the centre, not a v shape).
  9. Passed in Febuary
  10. You wont be failed. I asked my tester and he said although you wont get failed if you filter *safely*, you can fail if its not safe. Because filtering is not required, i know what i would rather do
  11. Hah, coolest gran ever! Imagine riding pillion with your nan!
  12. Bad luck. Been drowning your sorrows? Your spelling is awful. Haha.
  13. I had about 8 hours of riding experience when i done mod1. Will be different for everyone though.
  14. good stuff fella! Good luck for mod2!
  15. Well done fella, and good luck for MOD2!
  16. Took just over an hour I would say. But its all road experience so not a problem really! Some nice roads we went on too!
  17. Lol i know!!! Tis a poo situation :0( Hi, Do you know where the closest mod 1 centre to london is. The one in croydon has closed has'nt it? Yes i believe it has closed due to pot holes or something. I was training in epsom and had my tests at the burgess hill test centre. Not sure if this is the closest but he said he prefers it over croyden(when it was open)!
  18. "Surrey Motorcycle School" and i reccomend them 100%! I say "them" but in reality its only a few guys, was a great experience! The boss "Payman" is a great guy.
  19. As said you will be asked to stop at side of road and pull off, also from behind a obstacle. Some roundabouts, right and left turns etc. I just pretended my examiner was a satnav as previously suggested
  20. well done!
  21. Yeah well i have been driving for nearly 3 years so i can follow road signs, i just forgot, probably because of nerves haha. If you can remember do what they say, dont purposly diresgard their instructions, but at the same time if you make a mistake, try not to worry about it as it wont be a fail! (Unless you done something unsafe!).
  22. Forgot to mention that, if you think you have a made a mistake, try to forget it, if you dwindle on it during the ride it will just make things worse! Remember they are not looking for a perfect rider, just a safe one. At the end of the day the bike license is just a license to carry on learning IMO.
