Anything is only worth what people will pay for it !

In my opinion a comfortable distance is 200 / 250 miles a day. Yes, more is easily do-able, and I've done it, but it takes away from the enjoyment. Lots of coffee stops / lunch etc. and reach your nights destination late afternoon.

I would say that if you are looking to learn how a bike works / is built, then you would be better off buying a rough around the edges runner and doing a refurb job. That way you can take it apart in your own time, taking photo's as you go, and you are sure that you have everything for a running bike.

I will be stripping down the front forks on the Bobber...again....so I can measure up the spacers and make an arrangement with TEC for them to revise their progressive spring kit.
I hope they are paying you R&D rate

It is for putting holes in the lawn, the four spines are hollow. Hopefully it will help with drainage as it gets a lot of moss.
Ooooh, that's a thankless task.
I know, the wife complains about it every year.

Check out Lomo dry bags. Various styles and as watertight as a ducks a**e.
Hold it on with Rok straps and it's going nowhere.

Near where I live a BMW RT blew over in the strong winds we had a month or so ago! It now seems to be parked closer to a nearby wall.
Yes, they may be a heavy bike but they have a large profile so side on to a strong wind could be very dodgy.

Had 90 minutes of his time, very relaxed and friendly place, didn't cost me a penny (yet).
Don't worry, he'll more than recoup that in 2 weeks

There aren’t many, in fact I can’t think of any offhand that come with a centre stand as original from the factory. It’s a real sign of the. Profound change in tastes in bikes that centre stands (or the lack of them) are an issue. When the world was sports bike mad - back in the day. There were all sorts of ingenious ways of oiling a chain easily. I liked the spinner!
The move from shaft bike to chain in 2018 meant I had to get a centre stand. It’s ok - but definitely takes more effort to get the bike onto it than my much heavier BMW. And the balance is shocking by comparison. I could lift the front wheel of the BMW off the ground with one finger. It takes quite a bit of effort to do the same on the Honda. Cleaning the front wheel is an effort. It’s almost like the centre stand on the BMW was designed in from the start - whereas the Honda was almost an afterthought. I had to have one though. Fitted from the start.
My BMW R1250RT came standard with a centre stand, and for a heavy bike it's quite easy to use, even for a shortarse like me.

I run Tubeliss http://tubliss.com/tubliss/#panel-intro in my "off roader".
Not a cheap option but pressures can be varied, you can actually ride with a flat tyre due to the inner bladder, and it effectively gives you a tubeless tyre that can be repaired with sticky string on the trail if you feel the need.

Good to hear about great service
Yep, got to agree with that.
Anything can have issues, it's how they deal with it that matters

Kind of pisses me off as if I put retired which implies I'm getting old and possibly riding more I get a slightly lower quote than when I state my actual occupation which means I'm not able to ride at all for months. Tossers.
And that sums up the stupidity of the insurance farce.

Self nomination. Took my glasses off to get changed from working clothes to casual wear. Sat on the bed to put on my trousers. Yes, I need a replacement pair of glasses. Currently wearing a previous prescription as I can’t find my spare set. Luckily the difference between the two prescriptions is minimal so I’m fine for now.
Yep, similar. The wifes best friend sat on mine.
My fault though, I should have taken them off.

Only £1.00 from Tesco, just wet it and stick it between the clocks. I usually carry one in a plastic bag in summer, just to clean fly debris off the visor.

Took it to spray some white primer on and had one of those sinking feeling moments. Picked up the 3/4 can of primer, shook it up, pressed the button and a lacklustre squirt came out. Cleaned nozzle, tried again with same result. Tried a nozzle I knew was fine. Same result. For some reason the can has lost most of its pressure.

Collected my shiny new toy from Frasers of Gloucester. Rode the 5 miles home but added another 50 for fun. Apart from being restricted to 4500 rpm for running in (and that's virtually impossible) it caused me to have a shit eating grin plastered over my face. Really nice bike to ride and for me possibly better than the Multistrada although it's really too early to tell but first impressions are "this is fun!"
Got to say those are the smallest "crash bars" i've ever seen

I'm now considering ear plugs, but at the same time, I want comm's in the summer.
Comms, GPS commands are actually better (clearer) when you are wearing ear plugs.

My personal experience is that BMW’s app is superior to any normal satnav app like Apple or Google Maps… until you want live traffic. Apple/Goofle maps are unbeatable for that, imo.
Don't know whether you're IPhone or Android but I am Android and using the same app. It has just been updated this week to 5.1.1 and now shows live traffic and suggested diversions to avoid hold ups (apparently)
