  1. I have the contour roam 2.

It comes with 2 types of mounts. One for flat surfaces and one for rounded. So helmets, bike fairings, anywhere you can think of, I have seen people mount them on the underneath of a skateboard, it also makes it so your footage is not upside down.

The problem with mounting was that the camera is quite close to your head, no the bike it's hard to get it so your helmet isn't in the shot, on my vid in a previous post on this thread you can see what I mean.

As far as other mounting options, you would have to buy more mounts but I think there are some different mounts contour roam do and aftermarket type stuff.

Could have a look on amazon and see how much other mounts are?

That's the first footage of contour roam 2 camera I caught, 30 minutes of riding and I messed around for about 20 minutes on iMovie!

Never edited videos before and used an iPad mini for the whole thing, never once put the footage on a laptop or desk top. Those worried about any of the technology side of it, never been easier.

Also the contour roam can plug I into my iPad and I can reformat or delete as I need. This means on trips where my card may expire but I can charge, if I have the ipad I can remove the infomation!

Anyway, bit of a giggle if you click the link.

That`s pretty good editing to be fair!

Are you making more videos in the future?

I am not to sure yet, thinking of it. I mean that footage was not deliberate, just hd the camera running when I was closing the garage etc...the editing was pretty straight forward, was just a pain clipping the videos into bits on an iPad.

Might try my laptop next time as I can store more than 8gb footage then!

It was made as a bit of a joke for my gf really, the whole waving at my grandparents etc...lol

Glad you enjoied it, I liked making it so will prob make some more, would actually learn how youtube works and stuff though, I only put it on youtube for the forum.

  4. I found a way of storing it in the end. I just hold the chin strap inside the storage bit under the seat and close it. The helmet just rests down the side of the body nexct to the seat. Not a great solution but functional for short time periods.

There is a clip on the under seat of most bikes that you can put your d ring around from your helmet, making it secure. I put my gloves under the pillion seat also. If you put your helmet under the seat and close it you may risk dropping it. Have a look for a metal hook type thing under your seat, bit more secure.

Sorry if this is what you are doing but your post sounded like you are just holding it and securing it with the seat.

  5. Bought some Oxford Kevlar jeans, 60 quid but rep was 89. They are good looking, but the knee armour is a bit shocking. Also the knee armour is below my knee walking around and above my knee on my bike....will recommened sitting on a bike when trying on...

Still pretty good though, kind of want a pair where the knee armour is in a better position!
