I've got a 1999-2000 honda cbr 600f4 (last of the carb model) passed mot but went to start it last night sounds like it's running on 3. I've got a built in volt metre and that's reading 75% full when riding and only 63% when stopped. % didn't increase after ride. The carb diaphragm was a little worn when I put it back together so would I be correct in thinking both need replacing? If that is the case would a 1997 diaphragm fit onto the carbs?

Hey everyone hope we're all doing well on this lovely day. well I don't have much luck at the moment, the morning of my MOT the fuel pump decides to commit Harry carry and spring fuel everywhere. This is for a 2000 honda cbr 600 fy. Now after having a little look around a cheap pattern one is £20 expensive one is £110 would a OEM 1997-8 or later fit and not cause any issues?

Hey everyone I think I found the problem, yellow wire from ECU to the ignition pickup module.

Right gents I've been troubleshooting for about 2-hours now the only thing I can see now is when I disconnect the starter motor and do the check the metre does drop to zero. You guys have been so helpful, I think it's going to be a couple days and stripping it. I'm as you probably guessed limited on my experience in dealing with electrical.

OK I've done what the last comment suggested and it's reading 0.41. I've tried all fuses and it is not dropping at all. I know I've got a slightly higher fuse in the fan and tail position. Only other thing is that the fuse to the ignition is slightly lose compared to the others.

Hiya Umm I'd get maybe couple months, maybe a month in cold weather. The batteries do keep charge when put on trickle charge. No alarm or addition add ons to the bike.

Hey everyone, my bike (2000 Honda cbr 600f4) keeps munching through batteries a motobat within 4 months and just got a brand new standard battery. Now I've tested the regulator and that appears to be running well. How do I test the stator and is there anything else that could be causing this very annoying problem I'm having. Any help Greatly appreciated.

Hey everyone I've got a slight problem with a 2000 honda cbr 600 f4 I recently got the carbs untrasonic cleaned. When I had it returned the TPC (throttle position sensor) was 180° out. 1) what should the resistance be. 2) also its a little boggy low down >4k so what jet sizes and mixture screw settings has people used (micron slip on exhaust). Also what air filters. Many thanks everyone.

Hi chap I've recently brought a pair of Michelin pilot powers for my 1997 CBR600 f and I have to say I'm very impressed so far, like yourself I live in the countryside and ride on country roads were mud, puddles and random tractors are common. There quick to warm up sticky even in the wet and cold and still good when breaking and not a bad price either I've checked on Ebay and for a pair for you is around £168... Anyway chat hope that helps you out.

thank you fella for the suggestion with the single sided swinging arm wouldnt i have to adjust the whole back end. I.E rear lights, indicators, number plate? there's couple more things ive trolled the internet and so far cant come up with anything but im trying to find a a undertail for the bike but cant find anything.. finally i need to know the names of these items as ive got to replace both of them, i know im a novice be gentle haha. many thanks

Ok thank you both for being honest its obviously i thought as ive got to replace the swing arm why not put my own stamp on the bike make it unique so to speak but as you say theres a lot of fundamentals i need to square away 1st. Possibly even same bike but slightly newer model would think that the blueprints wouldnt of changed that much? Many thanks

Hay eveyone thought id come scratch your noodles seeing as you always helped me in the past. Anyway i have a 1998 cbr600f but the previous owners used it as a hack/ winter dog and the swingarm is starting to rott so i was wondering can i fit any other swingarms from any other bike like a 600 hornet and how much hassle would it be. Thats of course i cant find a cheap one for this model.

i am putting this post up as i am a bit unsure on how to do the following: i want to re-spray my frame, subframe and swing arm but dont have the money to get it sand blasted so i was wondering if there any other ways to prepare the sureface for spraying any advice is more than welcome thank you. scott

hi couldnt you try heating the bolt a little then tapping a slightly smaller socket onto it or spot welding a spanner onto it?

hay everyone right i cant figure out why it takes so long to start my 1990 tzr125. (kick start) * new spark plug * fuel on * ignition on * adjust choke to weather conditions * it take anywhere from 2mins to 15mins sometimes to start up i am completely out of ideas on how to correct this problem so any ideas or theorys would be really welcome thanks scott

umm most the gearing splines are shot and if i am honest i am not the most compitant person to rebuild the whole engine.

hay guys ive put questions on here in the past and you have been very helpful but i need your help again haha. i am helping a friend restore a 1990 yamaha tzr 125, but the engine in it at the moment is how you say spent. so i was wondering are there any other engines from any other models that we could mount into the frame? any thoughts greatly received. scott

I dont own a volt meter no but I can get hold of 1. If I'm honest rennie I havent had much time lately to have a play but I will over the weekend after which I will post what I have found fully so you can get a better understanding. many thanks again
