    Nip along to your nearest bike dealer/kit shop and look at theirs. My over trousers were about £12 and the jacket around £30 and both do the job. £115 is pricey for waterproofs but then they could be the dogs danglies. I certainly would not pay that much and I ride in all weathers.

    BBC weather shows no rain over our area tonight at 6.00pm so may well risk going over. Won`t be too much longer before it starts getting dark earlier so I`m going to make the most of what good weather we have.

    As MtotheJ says, it`s always best to try them on, but if you can send them back if they don`t fit then £40 for a £140 pair of boots is a damn good deal.

    I`m going to have to say leather matey. Once it`s worn in and you get the correct fit, you don`t know you`re wearing it. I do have a textile jacket for winter but if I can get away with not wearing it because of the weather I will. It feels a little bulky and slightly more restrictive than my leather jacket. The other option some on here have is to have leather trousers (better abrasion resistant so they say) and textile top. Like said before it`s entirely up to you, go and try some kit on, it cost nothing to do that.

    Sorry guys, going to give it a miss. After work I`m going to get what hair I have left trimmed so that I`m tidy for me hols. Saturday mornings are murder in the barbours where I go. Then I have to cook and eat me tea so I`ll be running round like a blue arsed fly to get away from mine by 5.45pm. Have a good ride out and I`ll see you when I get back
