Completely autonomous below 40. After that it assists but does most of it. No input from the driver for a short period message on dash. Then it turns off with a pong

My Merc has auto hold too. But I have the distronic option. When it sits in traffic, It doesn't hold the brake lights on. It's holding the brake "on it's own" and will move off on it's own too. Only slowing down does it put them on. Infact, I think it puts them on if it's the last car in the queue. Until another joins. I'll test this If you get too much grief about the DRL LED's, their power supply will be a simple wire in, wire out set up. Just splice it and run a fairly big resistor in parallel. That will dim them down a smidge The whole car is LED. There isn't a traditional bulb in it! The headlights on full beam are sooooo bright!

My new Merc has their LED lights fitted. Whilst for me they're brilliant. For others they appear to be too bright. Can't do a lot about them, The car came with them and I can't even angle them down as they're automagic. Though I do think newer car windows are slightly more tinted. Other lights don't seem to affect me as much in this car than before.

You'll tell straight away, It will be milky. It sounds almost as if there are a couple of issues... I am wondering if there is a cooling issue, Air lock possibly... or, poooooooosssibly water pump. Which is why it's overheating. And then some sort of potential electrical issue.

Now it's cooled. Whats the state of play with it? Does it run?

Teeeeeeechnically..... GPS and GPRS... It uses a combination of the GPS data from the satellites and also the GPRS cell towers to work out location. Means that signal blockers are harder to use.

If it's the head gasket, Is the sight glass milky in any way? Residue on the top of the oil fill port? Residue on the water tank? Is the coolant colour OK?

GPRS is General Packet Radio Service. GPS is Global Positioning Service. GPRS allows data packets to be transmitted over the cellular network. It's what edge, 3G, 4G are pinned by.

GPS tracking solutions for vehicles (or well anything really). Allows the location to be uploaded so it can be tracked in the case of theft etc.

Could be also faulty starter. Or alternator. When your turning the engine the starter kicks into life. Test with a new battery. No way of testing alternator (stator on bikes?) without it running.
