  1. My thoughts exactly, Hook was awful, Jones wasn't much better and bottled the drop goal option. Maybe Mike Phillips should have made more of an attempt to get nearer the posts for his try to make the conversion easier The red was harsh but technically correct as he didn't control the player as he hit the ground even though it wasn't malicous The Mighty Quins 2nd string beat London Irish with a last second try
  2. It pains me to say it, but........... Come on Wales
  3. That brings back memories Had 5 days RnR off the ship, so we got a couple of landies and camping gear off the army under the pretext of adventure training. We just drove down the coast to Malindi and set up camp on a former NAAFI campsite on the beach for 5 days. Swopped the ration packs for souveniers and spent the days round the next door hotel pool and the nights on the piss in various dodgy bars, saved a fortune compared to the lads who paid for a hotel
  4. After this morning's crap, my spirits have been lifted by the 'Mighty Quins' beating Leicester away at Welford Rd 6 from 6 happy days
  5. Well done to France, we played without composure, accuracy or any leadership for most of the game. Yet again we gave away too many penalties. The scrum improved when Stevens, who has been woeful all tournament went off IMHO. Easter and Tuilagi were the only half decent performances. Time to blood some new young players, hopefully this will be the last time Moody, Tindall, Thomson and Stevens pull on a white shirt. The RFU needs to sort itself out PDQ starting with letting Martin Johnson go. Roll on the Quins game this afternoon, hopefully we can take the game to the Tigers @Welford Rd and make it 6 from 6 It pains me to say it, but best wishes to Wales for the semifinal
  6. Fun and run: 2 words that should never be used in the same sentence. Sorted mate, for those members who have never met Cruz, this is a genuine challenge for him, I expect he will have handed the marshals rollups to pass to him every 0.5k to keeps his lungs working and will fall into the boozer nearest the finish line
  7. A better performance from England today And Quins came back from 15-3 down to win 15-17, 4 out of 4 top of the table
  8. Some of those Georgians were monsters , especially Gorgodze (known as Gorgodzilla by Montpelier fans, where he plys his trade) England gave away far too many penalties, Hartley and Stevens were shite, good job the Georgia kicker missed a few otherwise scores would have been alot closer in the 1st half. Simon Shaw impressed with his workrate England need to tighten up on their discipline and improve their handling if they are to beat the better teams Quins thrashed Gloucester , shame I wasn't at the Stoop to witness the game as I was planning to do due to lack of cash (see the F**k it thread for details )
  9. Well done Ireland Early morning for the England match tomorrow
  10. Bought a refurbed washing machine in really good nick from a local shop Plumbed in switched on -pissing water from the filter. Off down to the shop 1st thing in the morning. Wonder how they tested the machine? F**K IT ! Have to wait till next month for a dentist appointment after losing a crown Double F**K IT !! 12. Bike's tits up and waiting to have a warranty item sorted Washing machine is playing up Lost a crown from a tooth so need to grovel at the dentist as I haven't been for nearly 2 year F**k it on 3 counts!!
  13. We managed to find a TV for rally control so caught the end of the Scotland game after closing and clearing out the bar at 3am, good job they got their act together for the final 15 mins. England were poor, but rather see them play badly and win than play well and lose. A few teams seemed to have had 1st game jitters in the opening round Good win for Quins friday, managed to stay awake long enough to watch a recording last night
  14. I had that feeling during my last posting in the Royal Navy (aged 38), realising that I joined the navy before lads working on my section were born,
  15. Hoping the organisers of the rally I'm going to be at can sort something. The organisers of the rally I'm at aren't that switched on
  16. Anyone attending the Solent Rally this weekend ? I'll be the tired, fat grumpy bloke behind the (£2 a pint, club run) bar Or is it just myself and Cruz who frequent rallies?
  17. And the premiership is underway Quins won Sarries and Tigers lost I'll miss the opening England game as it's my bike club's rally this coming weekend
  18. I thought Jocks always supported 2 teams: Scotland and anyone playing England

    Wasps

I can't see the point of Wasps, both the flying variety and the rugby team
  20. Looking forward to it as well Wondering if the Kiwi's will choke yet again on the big despite being favourites in their own backyard Can't see England making the final but hope they do I think Argentina might be good for an outsider bet Be good to see if some of the 2nd string nations have improved
  21.
