  1. Will be popping down on one of the days... As long as work doesn't collar me that weekend... May is gonna be a nightmare for me.
  2. Looks like I may be meeting a lad from work as well on Wednesday.
  3. Not fair! You ducked on me last week i was looking forward to getting out of the house Well excuse me for being dedicated to my job!! I find that lump of money they put in my bank every month comes in handy!!
  4. Should be there this Wednesday (14th) all being well... Going to badger kate#1 constantly until she agree's to come along as well!!
  5. Great Day. Nice turnout as well for the short notice. Me, Roy, TC with a mate, Sue with a mate, Fazer Pete and his better half Lynn. Enjoyed a good ride up the Via Gellia with TC and his mate, then took the long way home. If anyone's out tomorrow I should be out and about.
  6. Might be able to make that mate... Will be out at some point tomorrow... Just don't know when yet.
  7. Can't make tonight unfortunately. Apparently my office has fallen apart without me for 2 days. If you will excuse me, I currently should be in 4 different places right now!!
  8. Unless work has fallen apart in the couple of days I have been off I will be there, and hopefully Kate as well.
  9. Always thought you were a fan of the Via Gellia Phil... Still one of my favorites when you get a free run.
  10. A bigger engined bike is more stable mate... I was like you when I first started. I had never ridden a bike. Did my CBT on a Saturday and started my DAS training the very next day. Passed my full bike test by mid afternoon that Wednesday. Riding the bigger bike was sooooooo much easier. Not sure about a bike school in your part of the country. Someone from your neck of the woods will be along soon to give you recommendations hopefully.
  11. A483 from Newtown to Crossgates in Wales. Fantastic road!!
  12. Purely and only because I have lived without a car for over a year now and only missed it once... And the one time I needed it I was in a situation where I would have been a good 90 minutes away from it anyway, and if I had my bike with me at the time I could have used that. Aside from that, the fun, friends, feeling and laughs you get from being a biker simply can't be beaten.
  13. Hi Ruthie... Not taking the pee here, but I understand you are below 5ft in height. I will see if I can find a link for you, but I do know one company makes childrens back projectors. It might be worth looking into. You may find one that fits. EDIT: You have a PM Ruthie!!
  14. Just remember to take your leathers with you when you go to buy a back protector... Don't want to buy one then find you can't zip your jacket up!! I believe the Forcefield back protectors are fairly thin and renowed for being some of the best.
  15. All saints church Asfordby http://i524.photobucket.com/albums/cc324/bikerkorben/Tag/100_0748.jpg New Tag http://i524.photobucket.com/albums/cc324/bikerkorben/Tag/bike002.jpg Enjoy!!
  16. Hi Ruthie Same as what Akey said really... Ride up to Derbyshire, point yourself at the countryside and get lost for a bit. If you fancy a ride out one day, let me know. MFN is starting soon... Always a good excuse for a midweek rideout.
  17. Have an XR1000 which is a great fit for me. Tried on the XR1100 and it fitted fantastically as well. My current lid is due for renewal at the end of this year and I will be getting the XR1100. Not sure about the removable pads though.
  18. Posting on behalf of Akey, Willow and Myself.... Church... Akey can you put up the name, I can't remember it!! St Wilfrids Church, Wilford, Nottingham. http://i524.photobucket.com/albums/cc324/bikerkorben/100_0744.jpg New Piccie http://i524.photobucket.com/albums/cc324/bikerkorben/100_0745.jpg
  19. Hi Mate I would recommend the Knox Contour. I have one and like it. Lot's of others on here wear one as well and they all like them. I have also heard very good things about the Forcefield Back Protectors. Worth a look mate. Just remember to take your bike gear with you when you go to try one on.... Don't want to be in a situation where you have blown £100 on a back protector and you can't zip your jacket up while wearing it.....
  20. Was piss poor!! Was getting very annoyed with the commentators as well as it seemed to take them about 2 minutes to see anything happen. In the 125cc race it took a lap and a half to see a major pass even though the 2 riders in question were never off the screen!! Had a friend round watching with me and at the end even she was pissed off you didn't see the champagne celebration!!!
  21. Wow!! Look good, British made, and a good price... Having trouble faulting them at the moment...
  22. Prices not as bad as my first guess. They can be pre-ordered for between £299.99 and £379.99 http://lidsdirect.co.uk/epages/eshop193 ... 00_Helmets Like the Conquista TC5 Helmet and the Monolith TC2 Helmet myself.
  23. Sounds good mate... Do they come with any impact protection?
  24. It's all sounding very expensive Dan.... Might be worth trying to convince TheWife that it's time for a new bike!!
