  1. Hi Mate... If you come onto the A610 off that roundabout it's the 2nd slip road you want. First one takes you to mini industrial estate. EDIT: If you suddenly see Ikea on your left you missed the 2nd junction... Come off at the slip road next to Ikea and use the roundabout at the bottom of there to turn round and get back on the A610. Go back to your first roundabout and try again...
  2. Both Akey and Sheepy are happy to hand out their mobile numbers to anyone needing them. Either PM them or me and we will let you know.
  3. Nah... Thought my Dad was taking her to London for the weekend, but they have gone today, and will be back Saturday morning... My sister thought the same as well, so at the last minute has organised a get together for Saturday afternoon.
  4. At the moment it looks like it's going to be raining pretty much all day tomorrow around here... Bit of a downer. I will freely admit I am not too happy riding in the wet, so if it's looking on the heavy side I won't doing too much riding, if any. Apologies for this, but I won't ride outside my comfort zone. Look at the route and way in to MFN... The road gets very narrow within the last few hundred metres which might convince you that you have taken a wrong turn... If you put in the postcode for MFN (NG16 3JE) into Google maps you will see a narrow road called "Long Lane" goes through the grounds. I would personally recommend coming off the A610 while heading Eastbound towards the M1 at the small slip road. Then after coming off the A610 (The slip road is small so be wary of that, follow that road until it comes to the end (Only about 150 metres). Turn left there, then left at the end of that road. You will instantly go over a bridge then reach the end of that road. Turn left there as well. That road is a long straight which bends to the right at the end. After that the road gets narrower and narrower. Over a couple of small hump bridges and speed bumps, then it opens up into MFN. Look at this Google Map link http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&sourc ... 6&t=h&z=15 Ride safe everyone!!
  5. UPDATE: At the moment the weather ain't looking to clever for riding. I will not be there now on the Saturday now. I have a family thing going on (Mum's 60th Birthday get together at my sisters). Lastly, if the weather ain't too bad the destination for the rideout has not yet been decided. Rutland Water has been suggested, but will leave it up to the people on the ride to decide. Thanks
  6. Alex, unless a serious production or fitting fault has occurred a well looked after chain should never go like that. Interesting read.. Think I may have to replace my leather trousers. Mine are a little on the loose side...
  7. Perfectly normal... Just ride within your limits and you will suddenly discover that a corner you were worried about taking at say 30, you will be doing at 50 in no time... I remember shortly after passing taking a corner at 30mph and I thought I was going to lowside. Less than a year into riding and I was taking that corner at twice the speed...
  8. Giggidy!! http://media7.big7.net/shoei-europe/xr1100/ Can't wait to see the paint designs. Think this might be my Christmas treat at the NEC Motorbike show....
  9. If sheepy is still tied up with something Rennie, call me... I should be not too far from that point.

  12. Good luck mate... Let us know how you get on!!
  13. Been speaking with TC and we have decided to organise a Saturday rideout to Rutland Water during the Rally weekend. Nice easy run. Just shy of a 100 mile round trip. Thinking about setting off around midday (Enough time for hangovers to hopefully disappear ). Should get there for just after 1pm. Rutland water has plenty of parking and a good (Although not the cheapest) cafe. Here is the route there: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?hl=en& ... 77&t=h&z=9 Pretty much the same route returning. No need to worry about showing interest straight away. If you feel like it on the day then come along, if not then no worries. Would ideally like someone who knows the route to act as sweeper upper at the back should the group get seperated. Let me know if you want to.
  14. Woo hooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice one Skittles!!! Bet your grinning from ear to ear!!

  16. Well they are obviously legal... Think they look pretty good as well. My mate tried one on (He is a Dianese whore), but the fit was not good for him. He said they felt good though. Go try one on and see what it's like.
