  1. VICKI. What time do you think you will get there and how many coming on Friday? If weather don't look too good i may bring my caravan. So if you want to go anywhere i will have the car. I know the area like the back of my hand. Don't forget to bring a camera.
  2. This camp site is very good. Good toilets and showers With a small shop. Vaenol Caravan Park. Caravan & camping site. TYWYN. 01654-710232 As you come into 30 mph sign, it is on the left, coming from the Aberdovey road into Tywyn. Best site in Tywyn for camping. I stay there quite a lot with tent and caravan. No need to book up. Just pitch up and she collects money when she can, usually about teatime.
  3. Hi, I know his father and i raced Chaz when he was a lad on his fathers Go-Kart track. As he was only about 7 stone then, he beat me as i'm about 15 stone. His father has a slight limp. As he used to race bikes i thought that was why. He told me he went for a ride in a micro-light and thought this is easy and went and bought one. He had never flown one before and asked his friend if he wanted to come for a ride as it was a two seater. They took off and crashed. Both ended up in hospital in traction next to each other. He used to race RC 30s and had a spare new one that was never used. He is completly mad, but a nice bloke.

  9. At Tywyn which is the closest town there is a campsite called Vaenol just as you are going out of the town on the Aberdovy side. You can camp next to toilets and showers and it's only a couple of minutes walk to the towns 3 pubs. Also an Indian and chinese next to pubs. Race track is less than ten miles away. You could camp near track but there ain't nothing near by to see or do. Just a thought as i know the area well.
  10. ] Been there quite a few times and also keep my caravan at Tywyn just down the road. Some nice roads for biking around there. Weather permitting i will see you all there i hope.
  11. I am on there as "deauvnut."
  12. Hi. A good choice of bike. I have a Deauville and my mate has a red one. Ours are the 650cc versions but i have road tested the 700cc and it is very good. I really like the dark gold one, but the red will be better when it comes to selling as red is always popular. This is a good forum for the Deauville. http://www.deauvilleuk.org/forum/
  13. ANYONE GOING TO THE PLUM PUDDING RACING ON BOXING DAY AT MALLORY PARK. ? Weather looks like it might be ok.

  17. I've met him at Brands Hatch and he was on a bike on the track. He can still ride a bike bloody fast . Nice bloke. I'd call him sir.
  18. Hi, If you go out of peak holiday time, go by Norfolk Line ferries. They go from Dover to Dunkirk. The last time i asked for a price they offered me a ticket for £19 each way [ £38 ] They were also doing a car with five people for just £29 each way off peak. As they mostly carry lorries, their canteen is very good value. Just like a good old tranport cafe.

    Bike Stand

Don't park with the bike facing downhill, as it is will easily roll off the stand. Good tip is to carry a bit of 25mm plywood, about 100mm square. If you park where there is a steep camber and you think the bike leaning too far, stick it under the stand. Also useful if the ground is a bit soft. Very hot tarmac gets soft on a hot summers day.
  20. Hi. The Rose and Crown. Ledbury Road. Hereford. Meet on Wed. nights.
  21. Very handy to use as a mirror to comb your hair when you take it off. Thats if you got hair of course.
  22. Not quite a virgin as i rode my bike around north France.
  23. Get an Indian made Royal Enfield. Goes ok and very easy to fix.
  24. Hi Graham, what you doing on here?[ Deauvnut] We got pics at the same locations too, but all on DVs.
  25. Hi, I bought a Triumph Daytona 1000cc new in 1992 and my son has the same, but the 750cc triple also 1992. They go ok, but when hot in towns at traffic lights etc. they bog down and missfire as you pull away. Once you are back on open road and the temp goes down they run ok. It is only as the bikes are getting older that it has done this. Have changed plugs, ballanced carbs, and usual servicing but still does it. Any Triumph owners had the same problems and got it fixed. Anyone got any ideas as my son is deaf and can't hear the engine and sometimes stalls it as he pulls away. He said if he can't fix it he ain't going to ride it anymore.Must be some clever people out there that can help me. HELP.
