    Tiny, fast and talented when the conditions suit him. Can be a bit unpredictable if he's not happy with the conditions and/or set-up. Seems to lack personality which is a shame for someone in his position. I can't see him ever having the popularity of riders like Rossi, Edwards, Toseland and Lorenzo, not to mention former greats like Doohan and Schwantz...

    All a bit spur of the moment. Just made a rough plan on general hello thread with Techno and Para, then texted Willow, Akey & Korben. Then a chap off MCN site turned up plus two of my old mates from Nodding Dogs days... Sometimes, having no plan at all is the best plan... We actually thought we saw you TC, but couldn't be sure if it were you or not...

    Quite a gathering at Matlock today including some faces from the past (!). And I did 123 miles on my bike. Lake District should be a breeze now...

    Nice. Will sort out some proper routes nearer the time and once I know if I'm going to be taking the bike or not. I expect the only downside is that the whole area will be heaving that time of year...

    I'm sure I've been to Hawes. Isn't that more North Yorkshire than Lake District...? I'll need to visit somewhere coastal whilst I'm there. Being in Derbyshire means I very rarely see the sea...

    I'm arriving Saturday 26th July and leaving Tuesday 29th July. Apparently 3 nights is minimum for hotels round there during the height of summer so I had to beg for two days off work...

    I'm nowhere near the M6 matey. I think cross Pennines to Stockport, then M60/M61. There must be an alternative to the M6 after that. Motorways are dull and that's when I really struggle with my legs if I can't stop and put my feet down every so often...

    According to RAC routefinder thing it's only 140 miles. That's not as bad as I thought. I managed 90 miles to Skegness last year on 4 occasions... The only tricky bit is bypassing Manchester but I guess that's what the M60 is for...

    Hey guys, let's not argue. I'm from Ellesmere Port and currently reside in Langley Mill. I've never been to the Lake District but my expectations are realistic given my 'social background'. I just want nice weather and mountains and somewhere pleasant to spend a couple of days whilst I deal with one of life's personal traumas...

    I guess so... Really want to bring my bike too, though I know it's a tall order... I think I'd kinda narrowed it down to Kendal/Windermere/Bowness areas before, anywhere I should particularly avoid...?

    Loving my Blade still. Only had it a year and haven't really got to grips with it yet... Would love a Ducati or an MV next, but also quite fancy a big trailey type bike too...

    An MFN plan is hatching for Wednesday night I believe. Plus I may be around at the weekend, it just depends whether my sister drops her sprog or not... Welcome back to Derbyshire. God's country indeed...
