8 o'clock in the morning doesn't exist at weekends for me... However, Bex & myself are still planning to go to Mallory tomorrow. That means a 9am start from my house (eeep!) plus a 9.30am meet at Donington services if anyone wants to join us...

I thought it was quite a dull race too. Any race where people aren't dicing for the top spots in the dying laps is generally dull in my book. Good to see Edwards on the podium...

125s and 250 races and qualifying are live on BBCi. You can even record it via channel 301 if you have a freeview recorder. Plus if you don't record it, you can watch it online via BBC website, it's usually uploaded the same day...

Personally I've never like Eurosport. Admittedly I've only watched it at other people's houses a handful of times but I found the commentators really irritating and obtrusive and the ad breaks IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RACES really peed me off. BBC coverage is head and shoulders above this in my opinion. But I agree with the comment about lack of choice. This is Dorna all over. They dictate what happens regarding motoGP and as usual it's all about money... I've always refused to pay for Sky, Virgin or whatever since I already pay a licence fee and don't watch enough telly to justify any further outlay...

Oooh, only a month away now. I'm in this bizarre predicament of dreading the date but also looking forward to it... No one is allowed to buy a new bike between now and then and jinx the weather OK...?

Can I just point out that this is a GOOD THING!!! BBC show all the races and qualifying live and it's FREE* and HAS NO ADVERTS!! Stuff Europoo say I... *Obviously there is the license fee, but you have to pay that anyway regardless of whether you shell out for sky/virgin or owt...

Same here. In fact if I'm totally honest, one of the reasons I got an AR125 as cheap student transport way back when was that I couldn't afford a car and the chap I had my eye on rode an RD350. Obviously he didn't look twice at me, but once I had my bike I had no reason to fancy him any more... Racers I like(d): Kevin Schwantz, Mick Doohan, Vale Rossi, Colin Edwards, Joey Dunlop, Dave Jefferies, Chris Walker, John Reynolds, James Toseland, Leon Haslam but can't say any of them influence me. Like I could ride like any of them...????

Weather looks lovely here but sadly I'm unlikely to make it unless by some miracle I'm home from work before 8pm...

Leathers are black with white and silver bits. Gloves and boots black. Helmet gold with pink flowers (!), knee sliders yellow smiley aceeeeeeed stylee. Bike is blue and black with red text... I'm a designer, I can colour co-ordinate with style. Yeee-ha!
