    Honda sh125

Just got a 2005 honda sh125 to use for late/early shifts seeing as the gsxr is far too loud...anyway got this little ped as spares and repairs needed a new battery so got that ....as I turn on the key the fuel pump primes then sounds like it's clicking...the same sound as when you try starting a bike with a flat battery ,is this normal ? I know nothing about mopeds so don't know if they do this ....also turns out there's no spark coil connection was so corroded it literally crumbled off
  2. Check your side stand switch . My gsxr 750 used to jump and stall no matter how warm I got it or what oil I used .....turns out the tab pushing the side stand switch had bent so wasn't fully pushing the switch all the way
  3. Most newer helmets come with removable washable liners , earrings studs or small hoops shouldn't be much bother , hair ....ponytail ? Or possibly a balaclava or thin beanie as for nails .......no ideas at all
  4. I'm sure they would try. I've noticed there were a few bikes on my estate but all have vanished and a slew of Audi's have appeared....maybe they just hate bikes round here lol my neighbours have an Audi S3 (fully max powered out) and have never received a complaint and he drives like a nutcase
  5. Lmao i was actually tempted to get a bunch of bikes round but got a feeling it would back fire on me and I'll end up with an asbo ....if asbos are still a thing lol
  6. Well still not heard from her as of yet .....but there were a couple of bikes on the estate last night so maybe I'll get another visit this weekend
  7. I'm not aware of it being cloned .....I'll have to look into that ....it's hard to speed on my estate it's a new build so roads are super narrow and to be honest I ain't skilled enough to speed through these streets ....I don't even think I'd risk a fast push bike ride lol thanks for replies I'm waiting to see if the pcso will call me back and find out more
  8. So Sunday was doing a front brake caliper rebuild on the gsxr and out of nowhere a pcso is at my door ...she steps in and wants a word with a bike owner , apparently someone's grassed me in and gave my reg for me "racing" around my estate...anyways after what she called a friendly warning to pack it in it got the other half thinkin .....would they mark my bike now and every time lil Jonny do good rings them I'll be pulled or what? ....it's odd she had my reg and address but didn't have my name ......also 1st time the bike went out and it was to take it to mot (topped 25 mph on my estate) she also stated the bike was currently off the road .....I just found the whole thing very odd she was here 3-4 mins tops I've actually called the local station to speak to her more and get more details currently awaiting her call ...sorry for chuntering on ...has anyone else had this happen and what was the outcome ?
  9. So had all the wiring out over the last few days and it was a break on the left side .......I'm never doing wiring again I hated everything about it lol thanks for the replies
  10. Yeah that's what I was dreading thanks for the replies guys gonna just run fresh wire on all of them an see what happens
  11. No it's single repeater that's what's puzzling me . I've tried different ones now an still same issue ,tried putting on led indicators but then the dash light doesn't work at all ...even tried all manner of bulbs in the dash ...just hoping it ain't a rewire job
  12. So got the sinnis stealth running but the indicator dash light only flashes when the right indicators are on and not the left ......I'm not up on my electrical wizardry so anyone have any idea ?

    Stumped

It lives ........after everything it turns out it was the bloody petrol , took out a mortgage an got a jerry can full of Morrisons finest premium fuel .....bike fired right up , used 2 full cans of E10 trying to get this bike to run an nothing 1st can was a couple of months old but the 2nd can was fresh that's when it tried to fire but just burbles an backfired so guessing it doesn't like E10 fuel .......thank god I never put the cheap stuff in the gsxr . Anyways thanks to all that replied an the suggestions greatly appreciated hope all are well and stay safe out there
  14. I use lemon aerosol Dettol and a hair dryer ....used to use patchouli oil but spilt it on my jeans an cannot get rid of the smell (misses hates the stuff)

    Stumped

Hi thanks for the reply ,yeah I've had the exhaust off and ran wires down it , everything seems to be there it's just not going ...well it ran the other day for about 5 seconds then just died if I turn the idle adjuster all the way out I can hear it trying to run but just won't catch ...then the battery dies , it back fires through the carb aswell when trying to start .

    Stumped

Hi all , I have a 2012 sinnis stealth 125 (winter hack, project bike, bit of fun) it didn't run when I 1st got it (bad starter relay) so replaced that it ran for a bit (badly) but now it just will not start at all , stripped the carbs a million times , checked the valve clearance at least 20 times an they are fine .....sometimes (completely random times) it'll start for a few seconds an die when the carb was on it would turn over an when I stopped it would make a hissing sound ....without the carb it makes a sound like a cork being pulled from a wine bottle right as it stops turning over ........any ideas? ...it has fuel, spark, compression so I'm stumped on this one literally any ideas welcomed and appreciated
