  1. I will be planning 2 or 3 long weekend (poss midweek also) trips to the I.O.M this year. With many roads (& great they are) with no speed limits, its your chance to fully open the throttle & of course your chance to ride the famous T.T course including the mountain section. More details to follow & due to the current climate each trip will be done in the cheapest possible way, even if its camping on one of the well established sites. I will also be looking at other cheap accommodation also, be it s/c or b&b etc. Going to look at different dates & post again BUT, who may be interested??
  2. Here's the "Going List" please copy & paste/quote ALL this, then add your name/re-post. Don't worry if you put your name then nearer the time can't go, just please then delete your name. Thank you Going List 1st April: Graham (Bury) Tom (Burscough)
  3. Great. Make sure you meet at the bottom barn & not the top one. The top one which is up the 1/2 mile very straight road (with speed humps) is the usual biker meet were there'll be loads of bikers but it'll be difficult to know eachother for the 1st time, HENCE The bottom barn which is the one opposite the 1/2 mile road leading upto the top barn. The car park (our meet) is at the other side of the barn from the road. Hope this all makes sense Graham
  4. Will be parking up at the top end of the bottom barn car park, near to the barn entrance & where the sitting out tables are. If others that are meeting can do the same, that would be great I'll probably ride over with you mate, (see other thread) as I've only been Rivi Barn twice, and that was the cafe at the top of the hill.. No problem, will arrange a meeting place or forward my postcode nearer the time as you'll be passing my way?

  6. Fantastic & yes 10.30am see you there. Please post such on the other thread 1st/15th/29th April. Thanks
  7. Absolutely Gareth, will look forward to it. Think on Sunday 1st April, I could arrange it you rode over with my friend?
  8. Exactly, common sense talking. Thank you
  9. Lots of questions, how many are these? For someone who's new to the forum (me) I really don't understand where your coming from? I'm mearly joining in by posting just afew (yes a few posts) that actually may be of benefit to other members, so unless you can say something positive about such I would kindly ask you to withdraw from interfeering on a post/s of mine. Thank you Graham
  10. April 1st probably through the lanes upto Caton & Devils Bridge etc. Obviously it'll be some peoples 1st ride of the season so can decide more nearer the time/en route etc.
  11. Where's the North West meet for this?
  12. Yes of course & really I should have been more specific, sorry. Active members, I was meaning those that ride their bike for pleasure purpose on a regular basis & really more specific those that do from now-ish/end of March onwards. That said I understand there are those that are members that don't ride etc & nothing taken away from those whatsoever. Graham
  13. Your organised arn't you? Great! Looks like theres not many active members (who are or will be riding) when the weather picks up? Won't be out this Sunday as I won't be putting the bike on the road until 1st of April, hence that being the 1st ride out (see other thread) If you do go out this Sunday, have a good one.
  14. In collaboration with my other ride out thread i'm proposing these dates in April as ride outs starting from Rivington (bottom barn) 10.30am to set off at 10.40 sharp. Please make it known if you think you'll be up for it. All the best Graham
  15. Gets worse, if I'm confirmed for the ride, I'll prep the night before. Leathers visor cleaned etc Bike checked over, tyre pressures checked & all that's left is fuel when we meet. Not Jack n Jill. Arrange to meet at 8am setoff for 8.30, these do there preflight checks then, which means we actually leave about 9. Probably my brain & historically do not believe in making people wait, I find it extremely rude. We hardly ride now due to the above, so gladly looking forward. Blimey, can't be doing with all that, think of the riding time you've wasted? We'll have stops for a bru/drink & fuel outside of main junction waits, but thats it.

    Please help!

Oh re the KX125 a full UK licence also

    Please help!

I did mean a KX125 but like I said in my original post, I don't know an awful lot about bikes. But I decided yesterday that I would have the Yamaha DT125. Well you wouldn't of been legal on a KX125 on the road without a full road kit on the bike & new enduro tyres. I would suggest looking at a KMX125 road legal 12bhp bike that is easy to ride, fun, cheap to run & work on if required. Tho are quite robust Graham
  18. Not intentionally : Guys I ride with from my home town ride a Gixer 1000 & the bike Boardman n McGregor rode & they religious stick to the speed limits, which means on a decent days run I have to stop frequently & wait They do commute daily but for me its my cobweb head cleaner. Lol. Gixer 1000 & stick to speed limits. If I where them i'd sell & buy a 125 that will just do 70mph & be quids in, in every way. No we're nothing like that, we use the bike for what it is yet ride with total respect to everything & anyone around us. Sounds like you'll be fine on our rides Graham
  19. Being new to the forum, i'm wondering how many North West of Manchester members are active bikers? Graham
  20. Graham

    Please help!

Before anyone can guide you on which bike, the KX125 you've mentioned is an off road motorcrosser which btw has considerably more power/bhp that would be legal even on the road, if you were to make it road legal. I'm sure you mean a Kawasaki KMX125? Graham
