  1. Where you guys thinking of meeting us? You say Carnforth, do you mean Caton layby? (I put on the thread earlier an idea of time there) Just an idea you could if you wanted backtrack to Lancaster- & towards Cockerham sands, there's a pub called The Stork (if you know it) we could see you at?
  2. How come you want to do the puncture yourself, instead of taking it to be repaired? Just asking as if you did take it to be repaired, you know you'll be out Sunday
  3. Just looked at the forcast which would seem we'll be riding on dry roads on Sunday. Sunny with cloud Accuweather says. If on the day its not & theres showers i'll still be out The next few weeks after it looks like plenty of rain, so Sunday may be the last of the best days to get out. Sunday, Rivington bottom barn 10.30am, set off 10.40am sharp. Lanes to Tickle Trout, 3/4miles motorway to Preston north- Broughton lights-Elswick-Cockerham-Lancaster (great roads) - Caton layby (bru stop)-Devils Bridge-Sedburg- then decide Kendal-Crook-Bowness (bru stop) return Or Hawes-Ribblehead-Settle Or Hawes-Ribblehead-Caton-return Or Direct return from Devils Bridge Please meet at Rivington having already fuel tanked
  4. We could just swap afew numbers at Rivington before setting off? Looks like there'll be around 10 ish (so far) so not too many to cause many problems.
  5. Don't worry we will briefly stop at main junctions to wait. Just enjoy the day its a 500cc yes? Yeah, 500cc. I'll take my time and see how I get on.. You've got time to get another of the same motors & bolt it on to make 1000cc Don't know if you've done any part of the route? But i'm sure you'll/everyone will enjoy. Oh forgot to say earlier, can everyone please tank up with fuel before meeting at Rivington. This will ensure that no one needs fuel shortly after setting off & we can all fuel up together as we all need to later. Please pass this on, thanks
  6. Don't worry we will briefly stop at main junctions to wait. Just enjoy the day its a 500cc yes?
  7. Yes OK girlie bikes.. lol. I put the route afew posts back Lee, but can't copy/paste it on my phone. By all means do so if you like
  8. Thanks for bringing us back on topic lol. That Crook road is great isn't it Seeing as your bringing the V-Twin brigade (please bring your own tools lol) & although the rev happy 4cylinders (real bikes) will be out numbered we've got the staying POWER lol. As you say some of us will be rusty but expect the lubrication to kick in as the day goes on We'll deffo do the Hartside run before too long & for those who've never been, keep an eye out in this NW section. You've gotta do it & the Lakes via Kirkstone Pass & Ullswater is a great ride there or back or both Yes 10.30am this Sunday 1st Rivington Bottom barn car park, for a 10.40am sharp set off.
  9. Yes i've had exactly this problem on a bike before. As others have said, breather issue. Check the small breather hole for a blockage (under fuel cap) check breather hose for same plus kinks. U can rule out fuel pump 100% as some bikers seem to think a faulty one causes this.
  10. What exactly is the symptoms, ie: when cutting out etc etc?
  11. Lol, seriously? I always service my own bikes plus any jobs required (very very few, it's a Honda) because I need the piece of mind the jobs been done properly
  12. Take the wheel to get the puncture fixed, then service it yourself, easy-peasy & that way you'll deffo be out
  13. Hi Lee, I was just thinking upto Broughton lights (north Preston) left to Elswick through some great biking roads up to Cockerham, more of the same up to Lancaster, then Caton (bru stop at layby/popular bikers stop) then faster open roads to devils bridge (decide between us, where)? Could go Sedburg-Hawes-Settle (a popular scratchers route on fantastic bikers roads) then back from Settle afew different ways? Or from Devils Bridge-Sedburg-Kendal-Crook-Bowness (bru stop)-return? I feel bearing in mind it'll be some ppls 1st ride of the season (mine included) either of the above (4/5 hours inc stops) is plenty far enough & hope others agree. There'll be plenty of time for more longer/different rides over the coming weeks/months.
  14. Would of got the bike out earlier & tagged with you this Sunday, if I hadn't made other plans. Have a good one in the great forcasted weather
  15. In this & other area ride out sections. Tbh I expected it not to be so quiet, especially given now the weather is improving & its only a week from longer days. Afew will know that it'll be my 1st ride of the season on the 1st of April ride out (everyone welcome btw) after my 1st winter laid up & i'm very much looking forward to the day & the season ahead. 18. Can meet you at Caton layby bru stop area around 11.30/11.45? We'll be setting off from Rivington at 10.40am & go upto Caton through the lanes via Elswick/Cockerham etc. From Caton to Devils Bridge & depending on weather/time people want to be back...Sedburgh/South Lakes or Sedburgh/Hawes.
