  1. I think the tax goes with the car it's part of the deal,, if the car your buying has tax put on it by the dealer with no charge to yourself, then you've lost now't in the exchange,,

but if the dealer has charged you to put tax on it,, then tit for tat, take the tax disk off the car you're part ex'ing, and yes you lose a month,,

  2. However, having said that, i have just bought the new MacBookPro 13 inch with Retina display, because there just isnt any other laptop manufacturer making anything remotely similar in spec (screen res, light weight, 7hour battery life, i7 processor, SSD etc)

The only thing in this thread I don't agree with. Many company's out there producing laptops to the same specification or better as the apple ones at the same price or less.

Apple haven't actually invented anything since Steve Wozniak left. All they do is change the recipe for things and then through good marketing convince people its innovation. Then feel that because they came up with this new recipe that they should dominate the market in this area for the next 10 years and sue everybody who makes anything remotely similar, rather than let actual development and innovation take place.

That being said I'm sure Microsoft was taken to court by Apple or some company by the name of Surf something for making something similar to their design.

They cannot afford to keep taking each other to court over something that some other company makes no matter how similar it looks or operates, at the end of the day it's the company logo and software that's the main thing.

    ,,

It was Samsung that was having a go with Microsoft in the courts, Microsoft won the first ruling but Samsung won on appeal to the high court,, I gave up on window based machines as they are forever falling over & require to much money keeping them up to date,,, ok so mac's cost more but they are stable machines,, I've had mine about 5 Yrs

with no problems & no stupid questions when I turn it off,, Apple could have had a go at billy boy as well, I dont know,,,,,,

  3. I'm sure anything like that would be good, but I would still go for offering something in a school - even if it's a different one. Or maybe a youth group or something similar. That way you'll be able to get some kind of written testimony to add to your CV.

Also you'll need to be VERY careful about the legalities of doing one-to-one tuition with children. I'm not suggesting for one minute that you're at all suspect, but you have to be so careful about protecting yourself from possible allegations. I really can't stress this strongly enough!

I'm afraid it isn't just a case of simply advertising tuition - you'd need at least liability insurance for starters. The whole issue of Child Protection is shit hot at the moment, and rightly so.

Sorry to put a dampener on it - I'm not really, just giving you a friendly warning. :)

Same thing crossed my mind Sue,, All it takes is one misconstrued comment from a child to an adult.. or misinterpretation of a simple action while working with a child,,

You could be fighting to save your reputation from a parent who has jumped to the wrong conclusion, then one wrong comment made in public could snowball into a load of trouble

  4. Dogs are good, & every child should grow up with one,, but at the same time they are a liability they can restrict your life style,, a lot of holiday places will not take dogs, a day out means taking the dog & loads of other places are not dog friendly, but winter time a nice bit of fresh dog poo warms your had a treat

  5. It's the time of year when most schools start to promote evening courses, so depending on demand that might be a way forward,, you'd have to have a talk to the school to find out if it's viable plus any overheads fees,, for room & lights excreta ,,,

  6. Let's face it, a bike is not the most comfy thing to sit on,, tweaking seat & pegs helps,, but there's now't wrong with a break every hour or so to give the joints & muscles a rest,,

a quick 5 minutes to get the blood flowing does wonders,,,

Wonder if you can get DVT from to long on a bike,, :? :? :?: :?: :?: just a thought

  7. I have a Facebook account and to be fair Its ok for keeping intouch with friends and family expecially as we have family abroad.

I dont do the games or any of the other sh*t on there just keep intouch with friends. I hardly up date my status.

Anyway there are two people I work with they are on my friends list, they are turning out to be the most slimy, untrusting, caniving evil, back stabbing bitches I have ever met. They are nice to your face and horrible behind you back, not to mention lying through their teeth to you.

I don't really have much to do with them now while at work and I want to get shot of them from Facebook, however i know If I just remove them (which is what I wnat to do) they will kick up a shit storm. I just know it and one of them them is shagging the boss so my card is alread marked.

Does anyone know if i can block them, not let them see my status and me not see theirs with out them realising I have done that?

Friggin hate that site site, but its a great way of keeping intouch with old friends and family.

If it's just friends & family you want to keep in touch with, use skype,,,, to much of shit happens on f/b
