  1. Or just a list of 50questions that ask you what you want to happen and depending on how you answer them your vote is automatically calculated based in the facts. That way people would vote for the correct outcome based on their wishes, not based on scaremongering.
  2. Yep because democracy assumes a certain level of intelligence for it to work. The net outcome will always be dragged down by the idiots and morons. There should be a way for filter them out!
  3. Need a home made rolling road!! Revving will always blacken the plug as when you blip the throttle the fueling goes rich for a short moment. Premixing shouldn't make a difference so long as you have your mixture correct.
  4. Anyone else having problems with Sky+ box locking up with blue screen and failed recording?? Seems the latest software update has shafted my year old 2TB box just after its a year old... good timing Sky! I've forced a software update, rebuilt the planner, only thing not tried is a factory reset as that will delete all my recordings.. Hate Sky with a passion.. this might be the last straw!!
  5. That's the drugs and booze they all take.. Government have ensured that wherever there are low life inbreds, there is a plentiful supply of booze and dope.

GBH (or worse) will effect property prices more! Violence is never the answer.. and it's too easy to prove! infestation of cockroaches delivered silently through the letterbox with "keep the noise down" hand painted on their backs in tipex on the otherhand is a little trickier.

Haha, exaclty... An antisocial biker's worst nightmare is another biker with a grudge since we know his weaknesses. Letting him know that loud bikes just let the thieves know where he lives and then paying a couple of dodgy looking blokes in a van to sniff around his bike/property.. Phycological warfare is the key to winning this one I reckon. Failing that a little diesel spillage on his driveway would ruin his day.

I would actually avoid notifying the council and police as it would impact property prices.. much prefer to silence the idiot in more unconventional ways
  9. Anything but an iPhone would be a good choice. iPhone are for sheep with deep pockets.
  10. And of course exiting Europe will mean all UK politicians will get far less expenses and lose their second home allowances etc... Of course it won't. If anything it will make the UK politicians feel more important and so demand more free money so they can do their job.. oh and it will put them in a position to vote for their own gains because they won't have the EU to answer to. We don't need to exit, we just need our politicians to man-up and start taking charge of Europe, not run away from it.
  11. Lol, Google are the cloud people and they make the Android operating system... so yeah, they have a vested interest in people using the cloud.. a 32GB device on a good data package, and wifi at home/work and there's no need for removable storage.
  12. use Google Play Music - store all of your musing in the cloud and download it to whatever device you want to hear it on. if you lose your device, doesnt matter, just buy a new one and resync.
  13. The USB-C is supposed to charge quicker isn't it Joe?...... how's the battery life on the 5x? yep, it's a lot quicker on the supplied charger. I bought a load of micro-usb to usb-C converters so i could continue to use all my old chargers - they are just a few quid off ebay. its no faster to charge on the old chargers. battery life is a bit better than the 5, but i still find myself having to charge it up at my desk at work mid afternoon if i want it to survive a night out. but i'm a heavy user so not surprising.
  14. I've been using the 5x since it was released. No complaints really. Only nigglenis that compare to the Nexus 5 the buttons have moved.

Rather than thrashing a stone cold motor upto 4k rpm, why not just leave the choke on a little longer? That's what the choke is for!! If your bike genuinely doesn't need choke to start then it may well be running too rich... but the fact it won't idle when cold suggests it needs the choke leaving on a little longer as it's designed to be.
  16. Both! I have an over suit for over my leathers and a set of textiles. You can get covers to go over the boots too. All depends how you anticipate riding. If you know you'll be in rain get waterproof boots, but they will make your feet hotter in the summer than airated boots.

If he's peed off the whole street, then you have a ready made army of urban terrorists just waiting to be called into action...
  18. Something to consider, if you ever have an accident wearing a rucksack containing heavy chain etc, the results could be nasty. Also if you've got a big bag on your back it's very difficult to get you flat on your back and airways open.. race humps are the same, paramedics chop them out to enable them to lay the patient flat on their back..

That's for emissions reasons. If your bike has a catalytic converter it doesn't start working until it's hot, so to meet clean environmental legislation, bikes are designed to be started up and ridden away immediately to get the catalytic converter hot and working faster to reduce pollution.
  20. The rest of your gear isn't waterproof either - why you need waterproof boots??

Glad im not your neighbour!! As soon as the engine management starts to bring the revs down you're good to go. That normally takes just a few seconds, not 3-5minutes. You then ride the bike gently keeping rev low until the engine is fully upto temperature, then you can thrash it. Absolutely no need to give a healthy fuel injected bike any throttle for it to start or to rev it manually to keep it running, or to run it for 3-5mins before riding it.

Bollocks. Modern fuel injected bikes do not need to sit running for 3-5mins before you can ride them! The engine management will run the bike at slightly elevated revs until it's happy the motor won't stall (just like the manual choke back in the okd days) but there is really no need to leave a bike running 5mins before riding away and certainly no need to rev them manually whilst standing still. Sound like your bike needs some mechanical attention!!

Inconsiderate idiots. No need to rev the bike before pulling away. Does he work nights or something??
  24. A little off topic, but here goes anyway... every morning on my way to work i have to negotiates the Borris cycle superhighway in London. its a crazy place! Angry cyclists have proven them selved incapable of riding on real roads, and so have been given their own bit of road, and yet they are still angry - shouting at each other, shouting at anyone who steps into the cycle lane, basically just shouting at everyone.. So now we have a complete second road network with its own set of stupid little cyclists traffic lights, being used by angry cyclists who have no training, no age restriction and no insurance, who just seem to want to shout at everyone! IVe seen loads of near misses, and a few actual accidents Last week i saw a school kid, probably only about 7 years old get hit by an angry cyclists when he accidently stepped into the cycle lane... Motorcyclists instinct meant i saw it coming seconds before, but the idiotic cyclist just ploughed right into him... poor kid... its chaos out there!!!
  25. And that's the problem. People do a cbt and then off they go, they don't bother putting in any self study or try to proactivly improve on their riding skills. The clue is in the name, it's Basic Training. Anyone with half brain would realise the roads are dangerous and woukd make and attempt to continue to study after getting the cbt certificate so they can be sure that they are safe.. and it's so much easier these days with the internet and youtube etc. There really is. I excuse to be surprised by what a riser is expected to be able to do to pass the Mods.. No idea if they do it or not, but on completion of the CBT rider should be handed a self study guide for them to take away and read and get them up to speed on what's required to pass the mod1/2 tests... but I'm sure most wouldn't bother reading it.
