  1. There is a theory that all universes share the same space just oscillating at different frequencies. Much like radio waves, most of the time they happily coexist, but sometimes they interference with each other, and you get cross-talk in the signal... that's when we start to see strange stuff that shouldnt be there.

You're gonna feel like a stripper with everyone coming up to you a slipping 10quid notes down your....
  3. Woukd look goood in the urban street tiger colour scheme..
  4. Off topic, but did you ride through Sevenoaks yesterday about 1:30pm? Saw a bike like yours heading south.
  5. Depends which scientific papers you read as to what percentage of the universe is "dark".. Nasa reckon about 27% dark matter, 68% dark energy. http://science.nasa.gov/astrophysics/focus-areas/what-is-dark-energy/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; But the existence of ghosts has neither been proved or disproved. If you consider the simulation hypothesis where we all exist in a computer simulation (again neither proved or disproved ) it's possible that ghosts are a software glitch - sectors of RAM that haven't been fully cleaned... but that's a whole other topic.
  6. You can't say that a object that you've never measured doesn't have a mass. That's a huge assumption. And just because something hasn't been detected doesn't prove it doesn't exist. Currently nearly 30% of the known universe can't be accounted for. It's known as Dark Matter.. it can't be directly observed, but it's existence is widely accepted.
  7. Id be surprised that any physicists would rule something out based solely on lack of proof. just because you can't prove something doesn't mean it's not real or doesn't exist. yes theres a lack of scientific proof, but there is a huge amount of witnesses who swear to have seen something paranormal. Look back through history and every single civilisation has documented the concept of ghosts... they have all documented extraterrestrials too. Can every single civilisation throughout the history of mankind really be wrong??
  8. It's prity much the same routine I use on the car keeps it looking good quicker to demist and helps prevent rot keep value up to and it's a bit of time to slow down and have some quite time unfortunately when you take it to a dealer to trade it in for your next one, they aren't going to care how well its been polished. You'll get the same price as someone who's put theirs through a car wash every few months as that's what their little book tells them to pay..
  9. You can't halt progress... If you want to produce over 200bhp from a one litre engine whilst still keeping the emissions low and a good level of fuel economy and reliability , you need to use modern technology and sophisticated electronics. With increased power comes increased complexity. If there was a simple way to do it, it would have been done many years ago. And for every story people tell about modern electronics failing, I bet there are a million stories about old items failing. I've been stranded by broken points, coil failure, flywheel magnets breaking, battery dieing, cam chain breaking, head gasket blowing, and many other traditional items, but to date I've never been let down by anything you would class as high tech electronic.
  10. Easy to check the spark on old retro bikes, but getting to the plugs on a modern sports bike is a bit of a mission. Its still the first thing check along with fuel. No spark No fuel No bangs simple. Its not my fault modern cars and bikes are designed to be almost unhome maintainable. I'm amazed the laptop didn't flag up this fault. This is a another reason why I am not to impressed with modern stuff ( as bits of kit they are awesome but the technology is too much now) and will probably never own a modern bike. Too much shit to go wrong and too hard to work on. The coil was sill working, so it had no fault to report. its just that the rubber part that slips over the top of the plug had snapped off meaning the HT lead was barely touching the top of the plug. the cylinder was running, just not all the time... No easy way to check the fuel either. high pressure fuel system, with two injectors per cylinder. i was suspecting the Power commander might have died preventing the injector opening - again no fault to report as there wasn't a fault. Everyone moans about modern technology, but when modern bikes break, its often the basics that fail. In this case i basically had a broken spark plug cap, and unidentified oil leak which hasn't returned, but was likely oils from failed rocker cover gasket overflowing out of the plug wells. So all this modern technology, and it was old fashioned HT plug and rocker gaskets that failed...
  11. i had to put my helmet on to take a pee at the services today... there was nowhere dry/hygienic to put it down, so i wore it! now imagine taking a dump in a one piece leather suit with the upper part gathered round your ankles on the pee soaked floor.......

  13. Often thought that when you look at a crowd of people, or people on a busy highstreet, how can you know for sure that they are all real and that some are not ghosts? They could be walking amongst us all the time and we would never know....

Can we have a little like button on the shirt? If someone says something funny, we could take it in turns to all poke them then

  18. Cheers Joe , the powder coating of the wheels, frame, and swingarm came to £100, think they did a good job for that price Can't complain at that price!
  19. That's looking like brand new!!
  20. Mountain bikes use "tyre slime". Green stuff that plugs the puncture before you know you have it. Don't see why that wouldn't work for motorbike tyres?

Never been that far north on a bike before!!
  22. Maybe the reason kids learn so fast is that they have "others" around them teaching them how stuff works.... when they are ready the "others" break contact...
  23. Hi Joe, have you got a Lambda sensor on your exhaust, if so that should have picked up that the exhaust gases were fuel enriched, academic if no Lambda Sensor Stock bike has two lambda sensors, but when fitting the power commander you have to remove them else the ECU and power commander will start interfering with each other. The dynojet auto tune model that should arrive Saturday has a wide band sensor that is used to regulate air/fuel ratios.
  24. im going to let BMW discover these faults, and then have them explain how the rubber part of the coil pack could possibly snap off by its self. I reckon it was a heavy handed BMW technician who did it and bunged it all back together hoping it would never be discovered... i really cant see how it could snap its self in half whilst its securely in place over the top of the spark plug!! If i get them grovelling and apologizing, they might give me a better deal on a new bike - not that i can really justify one as i never get time to ride them... Part of me is a bit upset i didnt need to drop the whole motor out - that would be a great experience/challenge on a bike like this.
