Gin Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Ok So i bought a motrax visor bag, Always trusted Motrax and thought they were a decent Brand. Got home and tried my visor in the bag.. only to find its about 3cm short Had to go out so went like that, dark visor on helmet and clear one round my waist.. When it came to swapping them later, the Clear visor that had been in the poutch had managed to get scratches on it ! Took it back to the shop who told me theres nothing they can do about it.. So now i need to email Motrax to complain about this.. It said Nothing about it only being for certain visors and when tried with other types of visor (Shoei and Arai, not just my AGV) they didnt fit either. My only problem is.. I can't write the email to them! I Dont know what aproach to take with it.. Too Angry and they may just tell me anout Sex n travel.. Too nice and they wont give a damn! Need your help guys.. Quote

Gin Posted October 5, 2009 Author Posted October 5, 2009 Take it back to the shop with a sawn off and demand your money back, if they dissagree give em both barrels Can't Was a complete Idiot and threw the box out.. I had tried another visor bag by motrax.. Expecting them all to be the same.. When that one had fitted fine.. Thought (Stupidly it seams) That the one i bought would be fine.. Other problem being.. im 5ft4 girl who looks about 14.. Not very intimidating!! Quote
Susieque Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Try and find where you saw the description of the bag, just to check it doesn't say anything about size/visor size etc. Then just say what you've told us - that there's no mention of what size visor would fit in it and that it's no use for your visor. Stick to the facts initially, rather than venting your anger - keep that for if you have to argue the case further.Would suggest you do it as soon as possible as I don't think they're obliged to replace much after 7-14 days! DG Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Seriously this depends on how far you wish to take the matter? Is it worth the time and the effort? If you think it is and it's got your back up, take the visor bag back to the shop and quote that "it's not sold fit for purpose" tell them that you've been in touch with trading standards and if they don't exchange it or give you your money back you'll take them to court.I did it 18 months ago over a pair of motorcycle trousers, they assured me was 100% waterproof, first big downpour and they leaked. Long story short; I got in touch with trading standards, I had an independant test carried out on the pants, several letters were sent recorded delivery, phone calls were made. In the end I got my money back If you need any help give us a shout. Quote
Gin Posted October 6, 2009 Author Posted October 6, 2009 Main problem with complaining with the shop is that i go to them alot.. Chris has got alot of gear off them cheeper than value because they always give me staff discount on anything i buy there.. Dont want to kick up a fuss with them as they were only selling a product.. not the makers of it.. Motrax are the ones who have manufactured this visor bag so its them i have the problem with.. HGB is a honda garage, they just happen to sell motrax stuff in there parts department.. Quote
MonkeyKnuckle Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Doesn't matter if they aren't the makers of it. They are still liable for it.If you know them so well then take it back and show them it doesn't fit, if they were nice then they'd take it back or let you swap it. Quote
Guest Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Contact Motrax with a simple e-mail explaining that you bought a visor bag from XXXXX and its doesn't fit your visor, and has scratched the visor..they will respond, and go from there.they must have some form of quality control, and would want to solve the issues, in case its from a faulty batch.Motrax Motorcycle Accessories Limited230 Station RoadFinedonNorthamptonshireNN9 5NTTel: +44 (0) 1933 418 414Fax: +44 (0) 1933 418 415Email: [email protected] Quote
