wiggleit Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 OK............I've spoken to the pub (landlords a biker)First weekend is going to be best for campsite, vintage rally other weekend and v small pub!Pub gets busy on weekends...but if they have a rough idea of how many of us to expect they are happy to 'cater up' and will lay on extra chilli/curry etc (and probably a couple of extra barrels ).Camping is 250m away at Greenhill Farm CA7 8JG - Arthur & Joan Todhunter 016974 78453Several B&Bs in village - google Hesket Newmarket.Plenty of room on campsite but best not left too late as BH weekend!! Will bump this nearer to time Quote
Susieque Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 What facilities are there at the campsite Carole? Quote

Susieque Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Thanks Simon Was wondering what facilities the campsite has though - it's a different place to the pub isn't it? Quote
wiggleit Posted January 23, 2010 Author Posted January 23, 2010 Thanks Simon Was wondering what facilities the campsite has though - it's a different place to the pub isn't it? Right - just spoke to Mrs Todhunter...lovely lady....likes to talk!!! Campsite has usual facilities tho shower is in house (small donation to charity to use it).Its a nice sheltered field well back off road and tucked away so bikes are safe.Pub also has a marquee out back that weekend so if weather less than perfect we can spill into there in evening.Or there is the green out front if baking in 80 degree sunshine......... http://www.theoldcrownpub.co.uk/http://www.visitcumbria.com/car/hesketnewmarket.htm Quote
