Mk5Centurion Posted January 14, 2010 Posted January 14, 2010 Is there anything i should/shouldn't use to hold the edges of the carb diaphram down before i pop the vacuum covers back on. I had to "peel" them out of the groove to get them out, but aside from the small tab on them they are a bit reluctant to stay in the groove long enough to put the vacuum cover back on. Ta. Quote
rennie Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 I've never done carbs but, at work, if we struggle to get a seal to stay putduring assembly we hold it in with a dab of vaseline type stuff!can't see as that would do any harm. Quote
Guest Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Cannot see vaseline doing any harm as it's a petrolium based product, and diaphrams are petrol proof, mind you it does rot condoms Quote
