Guest Posted January 30, 2010 Posted January 30, 2010 Thinking of buying a bike cam for my trip to the south of france in may. Has anybody got or had one? any advice would be great please. Quote
Pete Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I think a few people on here use the 4kam products. I think Dan is one of those people and he's said before how good it is.http://www.4kam.com/No doubt people will be along shortly to advise in more depth, but that link should give you something to go on for now Quote
jnr_zx6r Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Looks like a really good camera from the videos and £190 for the full kit seems really good price.I might be tempted to get one of these for my summer road trips down to the coast Quote
Pete Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I've been considering one for a while as well, but there're a lot of other things I want first! I'd like to get into a routine of turning the camera on to record for my morning commutes just in case I get knocked off and have something to prove it (hopefully) wasn't my fault! Quote
PhatDad Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 I've been considering one for a while as well, but there're a lot of other things I want first! I'd like to get into a routine of turning the camera on to record for my morning commutes just in case I get knocked off and have something to prove it (hopefully) wasn't my fault! That's my idea for the camera too. I've suggested it before and people have said 'the recording can be used against you' but in the commuting situation, if the camera is tucked away then they needn't have to know you have a camera unless of course you need it in court. Give that to the prosecutor and see how quickly the 'It wasn't my fault' claim from them gets dropped. Quote
Susieque Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Gonna move this thread into the Clothing & Accessories section where it should feel a bit more at home! Quote

j4ff Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 i use an 80gb Archos DVR with bullet cam.Doesnt like heavy jolts so you can loose the footage you are trying to capture at the time so i frequently stop and start it(push a button twice)."> Quote
