scrowe
i recon its either the connections in the bar controls (try spraying wd40 in the gaps) or a connection further down. did you use copper slip or vaseline on the battery terminals? if their dry with a bit of corrosion on the connetions might get need a clean up. Takanta
ill take a look, is it safe to put vaseline on the battery terminals?
scrowe
It's a good conductor and keeps the corrosion at bay. i use it on the bike and on a sports boat thats subjected to alot of salt water spray. it does more than make the missus comfy if you know what in mean!!!It be reet! Takanta
cool thanks will give it a try, only other thing i think it could be is either the starter relay/solenoid is away or the starter motor? oh or a wire loose on the CDI unit? Guest
Sounds like a dodgy connection to me. You don't have to hold the clutch in or anything do ya?

scrowe
sorry the vaseline thing didn't work.i allways look at the cheapest option first and work back from that.have you actually opened the bar controls to look at the connections inside. no loose/ bent or broken tabs?the problem could be all of the above in your other post but look for the little things first.good luck.
