Jerry Can Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Hi all,I'm taking my Dad (as a surprise) for the whole weekend including camping.Has anyone been before? Whats it like?, facilities, entertainment etc? I have been to F1 qualifying before so kinda know it a bit but just wondering what to expect for 3 days.Cheers everyone. Quote
yorbandit Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 You know the camp site is not on track but up the road, qualifiying is similar to F1 with all 3 classes of bikes having free practise and then qualifiying, Quote
Jerry Can Posted April 5, 2010 Author Posted April 5, 2010 Cheers,Yea I gathered camping is about a few hundred yrds away, do you know if you park by your tent pitch? Quote
yorbandit Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Sorry no i only live 30 mile away ish, erm poss it more than a few hundred yards though as it the other side of dual carriageway, You should get all practise and qualifiying times off silverstone for all 3 classes not sure what support races you may get as well Quote

Guest Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Are you potty trained and mix well with others?? Quote
jimsoon Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 I've been to the f1 the last few years, we camped at a field towards stow corner, it was about 3mins walk to get to the track, there are loads of sites though, I think there's normally one across the road from the main entrance, usually full by midday Thursday, all this is based in f1 though so it might be a little different.
