New swing arm

So I just gave my bike a really good clean and decided that the swing arm was looking a bit tatty so a used one was found with the idea of sorting it out and flogging the old one on ebay. Then i realised i have no idea about getting it ready for fitting. A mate said that shot blasting and powder coating was the future. Is this some kind of sand blasting?

That being said does anyone know somewhere near newcastle that would do such a small job.

cheers

shot blasting, sand blasting and media blasting are all similar, the main difference being what is actually being blasted at the component.

I would say getting it a good clean up and then powercoating would be the way forward mate, but sorry cant help with a local place.

Try ringing Armstrongs at the bottom of the hill 0191 2614579 or Hunters.I dont think they do it but they might point you in the right direction.
