Sheep_onna_Bandit Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Just a thought for those that haven't been yet (and for those that would like to go again!)Perhaps there's some mileage in arranging a meet in MB a week on Saturday to see the fireworks? Not sure about timings yet, but them that can, stick your name down pronto! And how do you do the "registering thing" anyway?Mutter mutter Quote
Guest Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 I'd be up for it, fireworks rule. Almost bought some sparklers the other day. And you get to have lots of toffee as well. Mmmm.... Quote
Guest philgale Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 i'll be up for that....been to matlock bath so many times but never to see the fireworks....might be a trip in the car if its late on...any idea of time and that....oh and register thingy is done by admin/mod (no not the scooter kind) Quote

Guest Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Me and Mrs Gimp might be going in the car, just trying to convince her that it would be a good night out Its amazing! I went couple of years ago and the firework display was never ending! Theres hot dogs, candy floss, boats on the lake all lit up, fish and chips, pub...... brilliant.Tell Lynn to come. What time we meeting? Me and Stew are going to get there mid afternoon and have a wander with the kids....it is hell to get park if you leave it too late. Quote
Sheep_onna_Bandit Posted October 22, 2007 Author Posted October 22, 2007 Mid afternoon sounds like a reasonable plan, especially where parking is concerned. Those that can make it early enough, let's say3.30pm - meet at the usual spot (outside the Mining Museum - opposite the Fishpond pub)For those that can't make that time, I reckon we should rendezvous (sounding all military now) at the same place at the following times to pick up any latecomers:4.30pm 6.00pmThat way if there are any stragglers/late arrivals, at least we all know where to be to catch up with everyone else!As things get kicked off around 7pm, the last meet at 6 will give everyone time to get to where's best by the time it starts.OrAny suggestions/alternatives welcome!!! Guest Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Fab, 3.30pm is fine with me. Might bring housemates with me, hoping someone else will drive so I can have a bevvy. Woooo! Quote
Guest Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Just occured to me that it's nearly Halloween. I vote we dress up. Quote
Sheep_onna_Bandit Posted October 22, 2007 Author Posted October 22, 2007 Dress up?I will be dressed up - full leathers, thermals and warm undercrackers!Besides, I hardly think wazzing along the A6 in full Dracula costume on my bike would work too well! Quote
Fazer Pete Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Vicki, talked Lynne into it. We will get ther fairly early so as to be able to park. Quote
