mikey69 Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Would you believe it, the first time I've locked up the back while training was last night, on my last lesson before the test!!!Not so confident now ....... Quote

I would suggest at least pretend that you are using it Quote
mikey69 Posted September 24, 2010 Author Posted September 24, 2010 Gonna give it my best shot - not go through the speed trap at 60kph at least rain is not predicted. Quote
caretaker Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Would you believe it, the first time I've locked up the back while training was last night, on my last lesson before the test!!!Not so confident now ....... I saw a guy lock his back wheel on a MOd 1 and stil pass because he had the sense to let the rear brake off as soon as he felt it... and hence "maintained control of the bike"I can only suggest the minimum of rear brake and keep your emphasis on using the front brakealso I know it sounds daft but during the avoidance manourvre once you straighten up and are heading for the speed trap look through and beyond it early to seek out the blue cone that you will be swerving around..dont dwell on looking at the trap- good luck Quote
mikey69 Posted September 25, 2010 Author Posted September 25, 2010 Passed first time Went through the swerve at 50kph first time, swore I was slow so speeded up for the emergency stop - went through at 60kph No faults - MOD2 here I come Quote
sparkeh9 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 when doing my mod 1 I locked up my back wheel and skidded slightly, but recovered. And I passed Quote
