T3hscott Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Not sure if this is the right section but here goesWhen I am riding on my lessons I find my right foot (back break foot) gets quite sore like I am holding it up for an elongated period time. I also feel that if o relaxed my foot it then be resting slightly on the back brake which I don't want as it could leave the brake light on or it could be dangerous riding with back brake onMy question is am I positioning my foot TOO FAR forward and is there a CORRECT way to position my feetCheers guys Quote
Stu Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 yes you are put the balls of your feet on the pegs leaving your feet clear of the brake you will be surprised at how quick you can move your foot when you need the brakes Quote
Susieque Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Hi there I have a similar problem in that I have a habit of resting my foot on the back brake unless I try consciously not to.I find that changing the angle of my foot helps - turning my foot on the peg so that my toe points outwards.Maybe this will help you, but I have small feet so whether i would work for you I don't know. hammer5 Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 When you are riding you need to be comfortable, any aches pains annoyances can take away your concentration, so put your foot wherever you feel is comfortable irrespective of its position; of course not too far back so its resting on the back brake..Can you move the pegs or are they fixed?BB Quote
Guest Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I do the same as what Stu said, but also can rest my foot next to the brake pedal as well. Quote
T3hscott Posted February 27, 2011 Author Posted February 27, 2011 Can you move the pegs or are they fixed?BB Am not too sure tbh I'd have to ask my instructor If it helps am on a Kawasaki 500Thanks guys ave got a lesson tomorrow I'll try moving them around see how I get on Quote
PhatDad Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 My foot rests with heel on the peg and then the toes are underneath the pedal itself. Place the foot in the right position when needed. Like when driving a car you don't hover your foot over the break, there's a split second between taking foot off accelerator and then on the break. Quote
techno Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 Its brake lolI do what stu said but even when i dont my foot doesnt touch the lever, is the lever set too high? Quote
