As some of you know I support a couple of main charities one of which is Macmillan.

A firend at work runs a Macmillan fund raising group called Bikers4Macmillan and the flagship event is the annual Sunset to Sunrise tour.

Motorcyclists leaving south stack light house at Holyhead at sunset (about 9.40 pm) and riding through the night to get to Skegness for Sunrise (about 4 am). The event is held over the weekend closest to the shortest night of the year. It is now in its third year and, elsewhere on the site, you can find pictures from previous years and more information about this years ride.

This year I am doing the ride (work commitments stopped me last year), the ride is open to all, although I wouldnt recomend it to 125 riders. So if you fancy coming to join me for a small bit of lunacy in aid of a very special charity then please have a look at the link below for more info or to register.

If you do register please post up so I know who to look out for at South Stack.

Dave, sounds like a plan mate, I will be with the organisers on the Fri night but would be good to see you at south stack before we depart if you guys can make it down :thumb:

Hey now this looks good :D

I live about 20 miles from south stack so can easily make it there after work Saturday. I'll have a word with a few mates and see if they're up for it but I'll most likely come anyway. Will let you know :)

Already committed for this year (AFD), but a ride I would be up for in the future, and a good cause too.

Yep, much as I'd love to do this; despite the fact that I'd be a lot slower than most on my bike; Circumstances mean that to do it I'd have to cover 900 miles+ in less than 24 hours and still be fit to socialise afterwards.

Much as I hate to admit it, I ain't as hardcore as Nick Sanders.

I'll drop a few quid in the pot this year though.

Just a quick bump before the event this weekend.

For those that are attending looking forward to seeing you on Sat evening, I will be one of the idiots in orange dayglow as I am now marshalling

There are still places available for those not signed up yet, its a great charity and should be a fun challange.

just so you know mate, the riders brief will take place at 9pm so might be worth giving yourself a bit of time to get there a little earlier :)
