Hi, to the point, I have a 125cc and needless to say I'm always driving on high revs to college, it's a 50mph limit and my bike hates it, because it's kind of on an incline all the way there, the very slow and long incline type, so I'm on high revs a lot to keep it around 45 ish and recently my bikes engine makes a very slight tinny clicking sound which is ery hard to explain, kind of like a piece of metal being tapped really fast,

Obviously Ive slowed right down but a bike dont fix itself, whats wrong or what part of the engine have I messed ?? :(((

Sounds like pinking or pre-ignition. Check ignition timing, if you can't sort it in short term , put some super unleaded in and see if it goes away?

Sounds to me like your getting it really HOT then as it cools down it clicky tinny pings as the metal cools then you get it HOT again

Is it the same noise an exhaust makes as it cools ?

It's pinking. Pre ignition. The spark is firing before the piston reaches top dead centre. Used to be a more common problem when 4 stroke engines used leaded petrol. Your timing may be out or the petrol may be cr@p or you may be labouring the engine. 8-)

if its not pre ignition as been said then have a look at your cam chains, they my need changing or just tightening, thats what is making my engine rattle like something is loose.
