Stu Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 is it at a certain rev range? the mixture could be out the needle in the carb might need altering it could be operator error if you planning on doing full test i would learn to live with it and save your money if its not too bad Quote
mealexme Posted July 6, 2011 Author Posted July 6, 2011 is it at a certain rev range? havent really noticed if im honest, i dont think so thoughthe mixture could be out the needle in the carb might need altering it could be operator error that sounds about right hahaif you planning on doing full test i would learn to live with it and save your money if its not too badI think if its not the spark plug then i will save my money, but just because I pass the test doesnt necceserily mean i will be getting another bike Quote
Tango Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 I'd agree with the above.....sounds like it could be the plug or coil/ht lead. Quote
Susieque Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 When you say 'choppy' Alex, what do you mean? When I'm on full throttle on my YBR I can feel like little hiccups/splutters sometimes - Is that what you mean? I mentioned it to the guy when I took my bike in for servicing yesterday & he said he'd take a look, but he did mention that it sounds like some air getting in somewhere! Quote

Susieque Posted July 7, 2011 Posted July 7, 2011 Mine is an 06 plate YBR.It's gone into the workshop for a long-overdue service and some much-needed TLC, so it could be what he said or a combination of things!I'll let you know what the diagnosis was when I've picked it up. Quote
