Tango Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Does anyone here have one of these stands? Looks like it'll be easier to put the bike on than the traditional paddock stand?I'd like the blonde one (thought I'd get in first with the ABBA jokes!!) Quote
Guest philgale Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 Saw one of these paddocks stands at oulton not long ago, look really good...http://s1.visordown.com/uploads/images/large/6171.jpg Quote

Appraisal:Traditional paddock stands are much quicker to use.Abba stands seem a bit more stable.Abba stands are useful when you want to get the front wheel / forks off and don't have a centre stand or a headstock lift. Carlos Von Brum Posted July 20, 2011 Posted July 20, 2011 having seen a mates abba stand I wouldn't dream of buying one. I'll use my mates shop and make a copy though Quote

Tango Posted July 21, 2011 Author Posted July 21, 2011 Thanks for the replies folks. The Abba stand is quite a lot more expensive than a paddock stand...but it looks like it should be easier to put the bike on without assistance? Quote

Absolutely I have an adapter set for my Gixer and my Lads YZFROne stand for two bikes Quote
Rymez2K Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 This will be my next purchase.A lot easier than a paddock stand especially if you are on your own.I recall seeing a post on here about how to make your own. Quote
whitedevil Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I have an ABBA, its dead easy to use on your own and very stable. It does take longer than using a paddock tho. Quote
