  1. Anybody doing any biking or know of anything going on on the 30th June (Armed Forces Day)?
  2. Never had a problem on the Fazer (which has a little visor), even fully loaded. I use the headstock strap for security, but never had the bad so much as move. Great bit of kit. Works well on the tail, too with straps... I use some of that non-slip matting you can get for dashboards to protect the tank otherwise it'll rub.
  3. I'm just wondering what he's emailing that's so interesting I joke, I joke. Privacy in the UK is like the Tooth Fairy for adults. A stonking great lie to make the world seem a slightly better place. Like justice, religion and light beer
  4. No reason why you can't change chain and sprockets youself mate. Buy yourself a Hayes manual, some thread lock and a cheep tourque wrench from screw fix. Save yourself some money and get to know your machine better. In difficulty terms changing chain and sprocks is "not-very-at-all". It's as simple as sliding on black ice. Make sure to make sure the rear wheel is straight when you're done. Nervous about doing it yourself? I'd be MORE nervous about what some clueless pleb in a naff garage would do to it! Give it some thought.
  5. Ow abowt a empty bus burstin forth from a yorkshur puddin, lad? Only joking. Second best side of t'ill.
  6. We had a tomcat that eventually turned into a nice animal after a horrible start to life ('nuff said) and a queen who suffered stress from being bullied. On top of what the vet will say here's a few ideas (From Oscar) She needs her own safe place she can hide, idealy somewhere where she can at least hear you. Take to putting your t-shirts and socks in there before you launder them so she associates your smell with security. We used to visit him with small treats too. (From Saphy who got cystitis from stress of another cat down the road) As well as antibiotics, after a few flair ups the vet recomended one of those wall plug air diffuser things. She did actually show improvment from this, it might be worth a go. It might take a few years till you can turf her upsidedown and bury your nose in her belly whilsh keeping said nose attached, but it'll be worth it. Spaying is deffo the right way forwards though. Good luck!

    Dropped bike

Have you removed the front sprocket cover and checked for any loose hoses, cracks, grit etc? Maybe check the airbox is intact and nothing rattling around in there? Is the bottom fairing mount point OK, i.e not cracked? If so, Hellfrauds do resin you could patch it up with...
  8. Been a while since I spent some quality time on my bike. If anyone is at a loose end this Saturday 17th I was thinking about leaving Bassets Pole around 1100h, then farting along the A38 to the A515 which has been re-surfaced between Kings Brom and Draycot on the Clay I believe, Up to Ashebourne, past Carsington Water then on to the Mattest of Locks for a coffee. Return simply the reverse. Nice 50mph roads, so 125 friendly. If anyone is interested, pop a line here but bare in mind this is not an "organised" trip in anyway. Bassetts Pole A38 to Lichfield A515 to Ashebourne B5035 Past Carsington Water B3036 into Matlock Anyone want to tag along?
  9. Well, it's people like you who balance out the scores of scum that seem to make up the majority of the human race. Shame those irresponsible sick scrotes are allowed to breed. Fun fact. The actions of a dog are legally the owners responsibility. I.E you can sue for the damage to your vehicle. If someones stupid mutt jumps out at you and gets you of your bike, it's worth remembering. Also, the RSPCA will be interested in how the owner let the dog injure itself because again, it's actions are their responsibility.
  10. Me and a friend bought some £30 jobbis from ebay - basicly little walkie talkies with a button for your handlebar and mic / speaker for the helmet. They were OK for a bit, but in the end we stopped using them and relied on gestures instead. Too much faf to plug in, check frequency change batteries etc etc.
  11. having seen a mates abba stand I wouldn't dream of buying one. I'll use my mates shop and make a copy though
  12. Stoopid question... Checked your air filter / choke? Just suggesting to check the air, as will as the spark. You've not got a pigeon in your airbox have you? My FZ gets a bit like that if I forget to take the chocke of, sometimes. CvB
  13. Dunno - hopefully any ban will be short and might not include points. http://www.drivingban.co.uk/drivingban/ ... fences.htm Good luck.
