Tango Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 I know it's a bit early to be mentioning this yet. But is anyone up for it?Haven't been to the Pod much this year.....but I quite fancy this one if the weather is OK.http://www.extremebike.co.uk/Cheers,Bob Quote
megawatt Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Hmmmm, that's tempting. Haven't been back to the Pod since I stopped racing in 1988! Quote
Tango Posted August 11, 2011 Author Posted August 11, 2011 Is that you in your avatar then mega? The Pod is only 40 mins from here....so I try to go a few times throughout the season. Used to go back in the mid-80's so I may have seen you there if you were racing then. Quote
Seawolf84 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 I am up for it, i've never been to the Pod, so this might be a good time to get going. Cheers. Quote

megawatt Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 That bike had an ex Pip Higham Pro Stock chassis with z650 rear shocks fitted with spacers and valve springs to stop the rear end squatting when launched. The engine was a stock 998 Katana engine with no alternator or starter motor with modded CV carbs. Bike had no lights or starter circuit, 2 pint fuel tank and an air shifter. Best time was 10.37 at 137mph!!! Quote

Mawsley Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Awww nuts. Virtually next door, good weather likely, free that weekend - and yet not allowed to ride and certainly not allowed to get pissed & fall into my tent. As I said, nuts. Quote
