craig Posted August 14, 2011 Posted August 14, 2011 Well not so new ive had it sat in the shed for a few months, bought it to make it into a track bike as it had been down the road and i did,nt get a V 5 with it ,but after a check on the Hpi it came back all clear so applyed for a log book ,and now i have it i,m going to put it back on the road and maybe do the odd track day on it http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e124/craig1976/DSCF1120.jpghttp://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e124/craig1976/DSCF1121.jpghttp://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e124/craig1976/DSCF1122.jpgAs you can see theres quite a bit to do so its going to be a learning curve i paid £120.00 for bike and £25.00 for a new logbook.Hopeing to spend about £500 on it to get it back road worthy,so should be a cheap bike hopefully,i should have took some photos when i first got it ,but i did,nt.Stripped all the damaged plastics off upto now jobs done to date are.1.stripped both front calipers, fitted new pads, and new seal kit on one of them......£41.00.2.fitted another tail section, good old ebay ......£42.00.3.removed forks ,one was bent so had it straighted new fork oil,oil seals and dust seals ......£72.00.4.replaced left side foot hanger and front master cylinder incl brake leaver......£38.00.5.front tyre...... free.http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e124/craig1976/DSCF1123.jpghttp://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e124/craig1976/DSCF1124.jpgrealy enjoying myself too...........gets me out the house Quote

scanty Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 FZR is a lovely bike, it's what I've got. Did feel a bit nervous getting it as a first bike after my test, but the only problems I've had were of my own making. Quote
Fozzie Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Aside from a new front end what do you need to do to it?I take it the carbs need a good clean etc, all the usual stuff with a bike being stood for that long.It looks like a beaut though What condition was it in when you got it? Mileage etc Quote
Guest Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 I must have the worst FZR in the history of FZRs loloh well xD Quote
