Decor58 Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Anyone got anything to say on either brand? They seem to be two big sellers of chain and sprocket sets on ebay, busters is quite a bit cheaper but anyone had any experience of either brand? Quote
Stu Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Tsubaki I would go with DID or Tsubaki personal Quote
Decor58 Posted October 31, 2011 Author Posted October 31, 2011 Afraid the Tsubaki ones are at least £30 more than the DID and £50 more than buster and I'm a poor student at the moment so not much chance of that Quote
Decor58 Posted October 31, 2011 Author Posted October 31, 2011 Note to self: always read all the details of items on ebay. Busters is a company that sells DID chains, guess I'm going with them! Quote
Stu Posted October 31, 2011 Posted October 31, 2011 Yeah that might help lol I knew who busters where also part of m&p too but thought you had found they was doing their own chains! Quote
Danny-B- Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Have a look at these guys eBay LinkI bought my last chain n sprocket kit from them, and they were cheaper than busters. Quote
megawatt Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 You get what you pay for with chains mate. Quote
Fozzie Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 I can vouch for X-ring DID golds being the best...Think of it this way, if you get the right chain it will go longer than others regardless of how well you look after it. So you have to compare how much mileage you get out of a standard vs the X-ring golds. I found the X-ring gold brilliant and looks good too Quote
Boro Jake Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Buster don't make there own chains lol... They are DID. If you want quality get Renthal sprockets and a tsubaki chain. Quote
megawatt Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 My DID X ring Gold has done over 25,000 miles and 5 trackdays. I never have to adjust it!!!and it doesn't rust!!! Quote
lucky Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Chains??? Shaft drive, BMW owning, means chains are used to lock the bike up at night.or worn round the necks of rappers, heard gold plated is the best for most in this situation. Quote
