New chain

Hi guys and gals have a question regarding buying a new chain I have a yuan renegade xgj-125 and my chain is very loose and keeps jumping off the sprocket as I do use this as an everyday commute ( about 40 miles daily) I was hoping I could use a heavy duty chain instead of a standard 520 now my questions are do I need a specific chain or would any 120 link chain be ok? Is there a difference between link sizes? And is a x link chain better than an o link? Thanks for reading people

Yeah it's adjusted all the way back on the adjusters so will be needing a new one nd was hoping to be able to buy a decent one off eBay that's a little stronger than a standard one any advice?

So long as the pitch is the same you should be fine. If it's that worn you might want to check the sprocket too.

Just found this table:

Chain Size Chart

Chain Size / Pitch /Inner Width - roller

415 1/2 3/16

420 1/2 1/4

520 5/8 1/4

525 5/8 5/16

530 5/8 3/8

630 3/4 3/8

So if you can accurately measure your chain, a 520 is 5/8" from one pin to the next and is 1/4" wide where it fits over the sprockets ie the sprochets are 1/4" thick . A 530 is also 5/8" pitch, but 3/8" wide. A 630 is 3/4" from pin to pin and is 3/8" wide.
