cheers! i need some of this. I had one of the most depressing moments on a bike last friday. needed to ride 180 miles, and 15 miles in it starts raining. Luckily I have my waterproofs on. 20 miles in I feel a cold bead of water seeping through onto my balls

Id reccomend nikwax. Wouldn't use tent proofer.. not many of them are breathable

Millets sell this proofing stuff too..........'bout 8 Quid a spraycan. Must say that in a lifetime of biking I've never found totally waterproof clobber, water resistant yes, but not waterproof. My bits & bobs have danced in water since 1964 !.

I was told if you dampen the material first, then spray the waterproofer on, the material drying out helps to draw the spray in giving better results

Never had to do it myself yet as my textiles don't leak
