hi there folks im stuck.. i have an 08 pulse adrenaline 125cc which is a chinese motorcycle, which i recently crashed on the road. im in the middle of fixing it when i have came across yet another problem. fuel is leaking from the carburetor and is getting into my air filter. a lot fuel is coming out of the overflow and when i took the air filter off about half a mug came out of the filter. the bike still starts. when it is started the fuel doesnt leak so bad but when the engine is off it pours out of the air filter and the carburetor.

If anyone has any ideas of how to fix this i would love to hear..

many regards shane.

sounds like your float valve is stuck open in the float bowl on the carb

you will need to remove the bottom part of the carb to check and measure the float hight

A quick way to check the above is to turn the fuel on, and tw*t the side of the carb with a wrench (or rubber mallet if it's your pride and joy). This should free up the float and should stop the fuel overflowing.

It's a common problem on basic bikes, espesially if they are dropped or crashed.

Don't worry too much, it will be something basic. Give it a go and let me know how you get on.

Must admit this mate me chuckle quite hard in a silent office....

-this is not to detract from the quality of the advice. just alwyas love it when wrench and twat make it into the same sentence! :D :D :D :D :3some:

hi everyone hope your all well! Just got home from work after buying a pulse adrenaline 125cc and noticed fuel pissing out of the bottom of my bike.

I was wondering if it could be the floats in the carb as the fuel is turned off but still some fuel is still coming out. any ideas?

What year is it?

If it has a carb then check the float chamber first. Over the years the most common problem I've had with floats isn't the float itself, more often it's a bit of muck in the valve that prevents it closing properly.
