Devans Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Ok so we had some awesome rideouts last year and i hope we can do the same this year.I have plans to do some decent rides and i'm after seeing who is interested.I won't be confirming dates at this point just seeing who will be prepared to ride etc First up.North Wales - possibly even a full weekend camping around the snowdon area, beautiful scenery and great roads! meet up would start in mold, just off the m56.Yorkshire - that's a good day ride out for most of us, nice roads clean views and some nice places to eat!! Scotland - is the big one, i go a few times a year usually. 4-5 days spent there, riding most of the highlands and stopping at cool places. 400-500 pounds covers fuel, food and b&bs etc.I'd also like to do some day rides to places like ace cafe and rivington barn etc, along with the great rides you guys organise! I will say that these rides are probably not great for people on L plates, they all have motorway sections and the pace is usually always NSL. Quote
yorbandit Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Toying with the idea of racing in europe but to be honest not that fussed as ya see more on the tele so 2 weeks riding europe me thinks Quote
TC Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 All of the above.Scotland is a yearly must do. Going to do all of Wales, I was also thinking of 4-5 days around North/Mid Wales. Quote

Rebel Rach Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Sound good to me. Might not be able to make many tho. Let me know dates and I'll try my best. Don't forget the really cheap b & b in Scotland although it's moved further north now Quote
Medic Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 I know I did a fair few last year including one which was a more or less all-dayer run to Scarborough:I started from my house but could easily be tailored to accommodate anyone who wanted to join from any point etc.The route I took was from Leeds North to Harrogate, Ripon, Leyburn, East then to Thirsk (Stopped for a wee and quick rehydration in Thirsk Market square), then further east to Kirkby Moorside, Pickering and carried on to Scarborough.Fish n chips on the front.Back in the saddle and South then down the coast to Bridlington, West to Driffield, through the outskirts of York and on to Tadcaster before venturing on to Squires at Sherburn-in-Elmet for a brew. From there you can make your way home Total distance - approx 200 milesTotal time - roughly 5 hours excluding stopsWell worth a sniff and some stunning scenery to take in, especially around North Yorks. Devans Posted January 16, 2013 Author Posted January 16, 2013 Going to put dates down next week when i'm back at work, will consider the rally and lake district meet dates when choosing, so nothing conflicts etc etc.Plus it's hard for us to get 2 weekends away in one month. Will 100% be a europe trip on the cards, tempted to go to a motogp race too but i'm undecided which. I plan for Scotland to be in march, april time. Quote
