CG nuts Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Is it normal for the front light on my CG to dim and then brighten with engine revs , while on tick-over...? Battery is of right type and almost new. Thanks pitstop men Quote
klingelton Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 yep, this is quite normal.I used to have a mini, where if you were listening to tape (casette omg!) while driving - if you stopped at the lights, it would slow down ever so slightly. it was a source of constant amusement for my friends! Ninereeds Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 yes, my bike does this too and i believe my car does as well. Nothing to worry about Quote
Tango Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Sorry mate, I was laughing when I read this thread. BonnieBird's daughter has an old CG125......and the lights go from faint yellow glow on tickover to "look, I can nearly see the road" when revved.... Pitiful is an understatement for CG lights...... Anyway....yes the will get "brighter" when you rev the engine..... A mate of mine had an old car back in the day that the windscreen wipers got faster as the engine revs rose....... Quote
Roadtorque Posted January 20, 2013 Posted January 20, 2013 Giving the battery terminals a good clean might help & check the main earth,,, you never know it might improve things Quote
