Smokin Joe
The vent in the fuel filler cap on my ancient GPZ500 is well cruded up. I can poke both ends clear but obviously not the whole way through as it apparently wanders round the houses. I thought of soaking it in one of these cleaning thingies Mrs SJ has in her kitchen, Oxy Magic or some such. It does a grand job on the kettle, would it damage anything in the cap? Colin the Bear
A little contamination of your fuel with WD40 or similar won't do any harm. I'm not sure that a drop of cillit bang in the tank would be a good idea.

uk190
I'm pretty sure wd40 would do zero harm to your engine or carbs. Why would it ? Especially a tiny drop that might slash into the tank. Id be more worried about the crud falling in.
