Guest Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Hi guysI have a kawasaki kx450f motocross bike. Whist cruising or just not accelerating the bike jerks a bit. Does anyone have any idea's why? I've changed the spark plug and adjusted the chain lots of times.Cheers Quote
Throttled Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Hi. Is there free movement with the throttle and throttle cable? Does it wind smoothly back as you twist it and flick cleanly back when you let go? Quote
Tango Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Yeah....sounds like a fuelling issue to me.....but I don't know this bike so can't really offer any further advice..... Quote
megawatt Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 If it's carb'd, could be a split or leaking diaphragm ? Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 seeing as how it is the off road kawasaki built mainly for racing do you know the last time the engine was overhauled as it could be wear in the barrel or round the crank but like others have said check fueling first,i assume you havent run it without oil at any time ?
