Paint stripping advice req please

Busy doing up a scooter for my lad for xmas for his comute to collage ,it runs great but the guy i got it off tried painting the front plastics and made a hash of them as in the paint has cracked so i hope to strip it off and try myself do do a better job . Any advice on what to use to strip it would be great

heat gun works well but be careful of using too much heat and warping the plastic. be careful of nitromorse or other paint strippers as they can melt the plastic

Make him work for his new bike

sand back the old crap and respray it. elbow grease and patience!

Don,t use a heat gun on plastic. Use several grades of wet and dry with water.
