Tankbag Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 There is a mod for the hump which basically allows storage inside the hump, you have to replace the four bolts with wing nuts which allows removal of the plastic section inside the hump, pic below. But, I figure undoing four wing nuts every time I want to get at stuff inside the hump will get tedious, my question to you good folks is if I cut a trapdoor in the plastic section to put a hinge and key in there would that weaken the structure to much ?? You thoughts are appreciated. Cheers. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa3/tankbag/humpmod.jpg Quote
Stu Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 put the tool kit in there leaving more space in the boot if you did cut it away I would say it will be fine Quote
Benn Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I'm a drummer and I know a product that might or might not work for you depending on the thread diameter. These are usually used to replace wing nuts on a cymbal stand. http://www.drumshack.co.uk/buy/3493/0/1 ... Cymbal+Nuthttp://www.drumshop.co.uk/buy/qcn-8-qui ... ng-nut.htm Quote
