devilchef Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Hi all bikers,I would like to tease your knowledge and ask if anyone knows if i am able to change the garnish (fairings lol) by using another bikes fairings on my bike which is a 1994 Suzuki gsx600f, i heard that maybe a gsxr or similar, of the same cc (not necessarily year), could be a good match...any ideas including years, that would be suitable too? cheers all Quote
Mr Fro Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 I've been playing around with Kwak fairings - ZX6r on a ZXR750 and all is not plain sailing.I've done a bit of offering up and it'll need brackets making and a good bit of adaptation. I'm just using what I've got but you might be a bit more lucky... Quote
mealexme Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 differences in frames/tanks/mountings mean its not likely you will be able to do a straight swap with anything, but with quite a bit of fabricating, it might just be possible. Quote
Grumpy Old Git Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Why bother? You can 'play' with your current fairings - a bit of cut and shape here and there, change the colour scheme, add/remove decals etc. Quote
devilchef Posted March 14, 2014 Author Posted March 14, 2014 Does anyone know if any suitable aftermarket parts would work? Do they do such things? As for messing with my current fairings, never thought about it but its a possiblity. Quote
mealexme Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 any after market fairings will most likely be the same shape, just a different colour scheme. Most would be chinese and cost £££'s. Most pattern parts won't fit perfectly either, also some are known for paint peeling within a few weeks etc. Quote
