Glorian Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 You lot will enjoy this story..RIding to work down the A12 and towards the end of my journey i notice my indicator not working as it's flashing real fast on the front one. So i decide to wait and get to work before looking at it. Anyhow. I get to work, i get off the bike. Test the right side make sure it's nothing else dodgy. all Good. So i test the left side, Front one is fine look towards the back one.... Gone. It's not there. The bolt holding the cowl on and the indicator and grab bar has come out and the indicator has dropped i assume caught the wheel and rippped off.. soooo i'm out one indicator and one bolt Question being can i put ANY old indicator on, ie will it fit? mealexme Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 wow, that sucks.Having a look at pictures of your bike online, I would say yes, any will fit physically. From this image http://www.motorcyclesupermarket.com/images/bikes/images/10790.1378745052.CAFE_125_BLACK_(10).jpg it looks as though there is a bit of metal which the indicator attaches to directly that the bolt you described was holding on. If that is the case, you will need to get a replacement part, or be a cowboy and fashion your own out of scrap metal. The other option is attach the indicator to the same hole the grab bar is bolted through. The only thing to look out for is LED indicators. If the bike has bulbs as standard, it will either need bulb type indicators as replacements, or LED's with resistors to correct the flash rate Quote
Glorian Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 Indicator slightly different in that picture. mine has a piece of metal and attaches to the grab rail bolt. Managed to find a sinnis dealer who can source a part and attach for £20 total, WHen it comes to fiddly pieces of crap like that i don't mind paying £10 labour Quote

Glorian Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 If only looks better without it but the roads are dangerous enough without someone cutting me up on a roundabout. Quote

Joeman Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Swap the front indicator to the back to get you home.Or just only make right/left turns Quote
