Hi guys,

Well I have my Mod 1 in 16 days time and have been practicing as much as I can when possible around 3 times a week, I have been doing quite well but tonight realised that when I was doing the U-turn as I start off then do the shoulder check I seem to drift over to the left, is it something I'm doing wrong that I can try and correct before my test ???

I did think is the bike leaning that way slightly when I set off or is it just a natural movement ??

Cheers in advance.

Stan.

Try having a little more forward momentum. Have you been to a dsa site yet? You have about 7 or 8 meters to ride forward so you can steady yourself forstbefore you commit to turn

No not been to a DSA test site at all, I'm doing an intensive course which consists of the following;

1. 2 hours getting used to a 600cc bike

2. 3 hours Mod 1 training

3. Test the next morning.

I have been practicing myself though but only on the slow manoeuvres not enough room to practice the faster one s will have to hope for the best when the training starts.

Deso's right, keep you head up and look ahead. After your lifesaver turn your head and look where you want to go keeping your head up again. Never look at the kurb or you will end up hitting it. :wink:

How long is your lifesaver taking? If you have time to drift, are you taking too long with it?

Its just a quick glance - less than half a second..

Going out again on Thursday about 5ish (Ramsdens furniture store car park) :D

I finish work at 5 and can be the there for 6ish if you want a fresh pair of eyes?
