Comfortablynumb Posted October 12, 2014 Share Posted October 12, 2014 Sorry third thread complaining about my crappy headlight, since swapping it with a halogen its a little brighter but the high beam pattern is like mushroom shaped, which isn't helping anything. The low beam is fine. but the high beam has two pretty substantial dark spots. I'll try grab some pics when it's dark to demonstrate.Only thing I can think of is the little "cap" on the halogen, I know the light at the tip isn't meant to be useful but could that be it?There's no adjustment on the reflector besides physically angling the assembly up and down. Comfortablynumb Posted October 12, 2014 Author Share Posted October 12, 2014 There's only one way to put the bulb and reflector/front glass part in, i think, I haven't dissasembled the reflector from the glass as couldn't figure out how to seperate them. Tango Posted October 12, 2014 Share Posted October 12, 2014 Hmmmm......looks like your headlight could do with coming up a bit if that's high beam.......but it also looks like your reflector or lens is a bit iffy......would have expected a bit more spread of light than that..... That light unit on eBay looks pretty good.......the only prob you may have is the connector to the bulb......but it's fairly easy to swap over to the right one...... banditjohn Posted October 19, 2014 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Having had a quick look at your beam pattern it looks like the headlight is the wrong way up Is it fixed into the fairing should it have one or just the round head light unit Even if it's a round headlight they can normally only go one way as the adjusters are at the bottom of the unit and screws are offset to stop that happening The next step would be get another bike beside yours and see how the beam compares with that I'm sorry I can't be more help but it might give you some insight Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
